A beacon of 21st-century China, Shanghai is modernizing at an electrifying rate. Nowhere is this more evident than the skyscraper-punctuated Pudong commercial district. The most distinct - the Oriental Pearl Tower - has a ball at the top and bottom and has fabulous city views. A number of towers also twist as they go up – a feat of contemporary engineering.
This side of the city also houses Shanghai Pudong International Airport, while Shanghai Hongqiao Airport is over the Huangpu River in the Puxi district. An area of older and less dominating buildings, Puxi features the elegant Bund area whose varied architecture includes a surprising array of Art Deco.
With a choice of shopping centers and small shops beneath brightly lit neon signs just like Chinatowns across the world, Shanghai shopping is fantastic.
Other must-see Shanghai attractions include the wonderful Shanghai Museum and the Jade Buddha Temple. For a break from the hustle and bustle, head to the Yuyuan Gardens, the beach or peaceful Zhujiajiao Water Town in the west.
Whether you choose one of the Shanghai hotels, apartments or hostels, take time to go to a tea house, a Chinese institution. Also worth sampling are Shanghai hairy crab, steamed dumplings and the freshwater fish so popular with locals.
the country is big , clean and nice . Price for food and accommodation can be pricey. Lots of nice Café . My most beloved place to visit are Disney Store. Must try all their delicacy street food. they are yummy even thu is oily.

Buzzing city, hyper modern and a lot of things to do and see. Also nice restaurants. And most important; very friendly people. Say 'Hello' or give a smile and you'll get a warm hello or smile back. Shanghai has two faces, the one in the daytime and the one in the nighttime when all building are enchantingly lit (The Bund).

Shanghai, a vibrant metropolis, seamlessly blends its rich history with modernity. Take a leisurely stroll along the Bund, an iconic waterfront promenade to witness the city's past reflected in its stunning colonial-era buildings.
The city's abundant greenery adds to its charm, with beautiful tree-lined streets and blooming flowers everywhere.
For vegan travelers, Shanghai offers a wide range of diverse and delicious food options to indulge in.
Getting around is effortless with its excellent train system. The Didi taxi hire service in Shanghai is fast & efficient. Don't forget to download Alipay for cashless transactions, simplifying your experiences in China.
Note: the locals are heavy smokers, not an ideal environment for non smokers.

Shanghai is a city to feel and live.
Shanghai is a city to feel and live. Sure there are more than enough museums to keep you entertained for a week or more, but the best part for me was the life and the community feeling that i saw all around.
There is always stuff going on and people walking around.
There are tons of nice places to eat at and the coffee scene is second to none.
The metro in Shanghai makes it possible to go almost anywhere you want for a super cheap price. The times we were lazy and decided to take a taxi we ended up taking longer time to reach our destination.

I have travelled to Shanghai for almost 15 years and always like the hustle and bustle of the city. Just wish they would be more animal friendly and aware of helping animals and have more pet services to help abandoned and stray pets. I find this very upsetting. The Chinese have come a way but have a l o n g way to go wrt animal welfare ... This aspect really spoils my Shanghai experience. They have an efficient subway system that's clean and on time. Easy to use and inexpensive. The markets and street vendors are fun and the local food is delicious and fresh. Etiquette amongst locals needs urgent attention ... hawking and spitting is gross but very evident and sometimes one has to look carefully where you put your feet.
Location was perfect, beyond any doubts.. You get out to Nanjing Road and you feel what Shnaghai means. Staff was extremely friendly. Janet, Manager on duty was extremely friendly and helpful and I would like to thank you for all ger efforts to mak eour stay even better. Breakfast was great, best coffee, much better than in any of the other 5* hotels I stayed in China. Last time in Shanghai I stayed at Hyatt at the Bund and at Le Meridien, but this choise was BETTER!
Modern hotel with location facing Shanghai Century in Pudong, you exit hotel and walk directly into the Park.
Direct metro station access to the hotel, which let you jump on the metro to catch Maglev to Pudong airport (PVG)
Glad to see that hotel follow "green policy", nice!
Very helpful personnel, thanks Ms Amanda to help with my luggage!
Good breakfast, starting at 7:00 which allowed me to get it even on the departure day.
Flawless wi-fi
For the first timer visiting Shanghai with limited time, Renaissance Shanghai Yuan Garden Hotel is “the perfect” choice. The main factors are “location”, “value”, and “amenities and services”. The hotel is right next to traditional shopping areas, Yu Garden, and few other touristy areas. It is also a walking distance to the Huang Pu River area. Although the timing was not right, December was quite cold and windy. But we really enjoyed the walk.
Oh wow, what didn't I like??? This was honestly one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff goes above and beyond at every oppurtunity, treating everyone like royalty. The rooms were immaculate. The in-room dining was DELICIOUS, the BEST I've had at any hotel and I have *LIVED* in 8 countries. The building decor is stunning. If you need anything, someone is there 24/7 with an eager spirit to help!
the best thing about this hotel is the location. it is very central. it’s walking distance from Bund scenic area and many other touristy places. There’s a mall right across from the hotel and there are a plethora of things to do, and places to eat around the hotel. I love 1930’s old Shanghai concept of the hotel. The staff were extremely accommodating, warm and friendly. check -in was smooth.
Location. The Bund is located at a short walk from hotel. Good restaurants offer around. It's very easy to get from Pudong Airport to the hotel by subway, simply take line 2 and get off at East Nijing Road Station (exit 6). We took the subway which is very cheap (7 Yuan per trip) carrying big bags and had no problem at all.
Quite possibly the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I don't know what we liked more: the location (amazing), the breakfast, the staff, the hygene or the esthetics and the room itself. If we ever visit Shanghai again (which we've agreed to definitely do) I wouldn't waste my time searching for another hotel. 10/10
The airport - hotel - airport transfer works without delays. Extremely reliable. I used it for five days without any problems. And I used it on the way to Disney. Another highlight is the extremely attentive staff. And, finally, the cost is extremely affordable by Shanghai standards.
Grandious arhitecture, five star location, stouning view, nice interiour design, grate antreprenorial execution, nice people at the reception and restaurant, nice SPA with amasing view fom the 30 level. Everithing is gaven for this hotel to be the best, except management!
Good location. Opposite to people square metro station, metro come straight from the Pudong Airport and the ticket cost 7rmb.When at People Square just take the exit 8 and u r just Opposite the hotel, walking distance. The rooms are very big and neat.
Very friendly staff, smooth airport shuttle with app WeChat, great dinner and breakfast, super comfy and stylish rooms. On top of that everything for a very cheap price. If I have another transit in Shanghai I’ll use this hotel again. Thank you.
The bidet with heated seat was great. More hotels should have bidet function in their toilets.
Good with earplugs incl. in the room.
Nice with shuttlebus that runs every 30 min to Pudong airport. It took 5 min to get to terminal 1.
Property is located near to Prime location and easy access to Metro station
Hotel reception is good with English speaking receptionist. Mr.German has provided informations to explore the things in Shanghai
I stayed here for one night due to its proximity to Shanghai's Pudong Airport. The hotel had really good facilities, and the room was very comfortable.
