FAQs about hotels in Atlanta

Peachy City of Historic Importance

Home to the world’s busiest airport and a vibrant arts scene, Atlanta has an important role in US history. The gateway to the American South, it's home to barbecue and hundreds of peach trees that make it a surprisingly green city.

Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is the main arrival point, and Booking.com has an excellent range of Atlanta hotels near the airport. However, the main sights are clustered around Downtown. Near the gold-domed Georgia State Capitol is Underground Atlanta, a shopping center at the former downtown street level.

Just north are a few hotels near Georgia Dome, a huge sports venue, and to its northeast is Centennial Olympic Park, commemorating the 1996 Olympic Games. On one edge of this park are the CNN headquarters with behind-the-scenes tours. Across the street is the New World of Coca-Cola where you can sample all their worldwide products. Next door is the massive Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest indoor aquarium.

In the Auburn district is Martin Luther King, Jr.’s former home and church, and a museum dedicated to him and the Civil Rights movement. A few blocks south in Grant Park is the city zoo, and the Atlanta Cyclorama and museum, detailing the city’s Civil War battles.

More national history is in the Carter Center, and the former home of Margaret Mitchell, author of "Gone with the Wind.

I was there for a festival, so I didn't get to go explore the city. But from what I experienced so far I liked it. I thought the people at the stores that I visited and the hotel are very friendly. I would definitely come back again to get the full experience.

Atlanta has such a variety of crowds and entertainment. Just when you think you've found your vieb for the night, something else calls your attention and you have a whole new experience to live. 3 days and 2 nights were not enough, my next trip will be a full week. Oh and the food? Argue with your momma, not me, some of the best food I've had here in America.

A bustling city with tons to offer travelers of all kinds. Food options are endless and a plethora of entertainment options await. I enjoyed the Peachtree Center for its expansive food court and indoor shopping options. I loved my meals at CUTS Steakhouse and Hard Rock Cafe. Walking around the city alone at night is not recommended. Next time I will stay closer to where I need to be for work to avoid this issue. Ubers are everywhere so that made getting around easy.

When we got there at the front of the hotel, you have to ask valet to park your car or self park in the garage, the valet person gave us the code to the gate to self park in the garage. The garage was cluttered with hotel property from renovations in some of the parking spaces. There are elevators to take you to the main floor to check in after 4 pm. The layout of the hotel is easy to find the elevator to your room. Once in the room the bed was made up nice, there were no trash bags in the cans, there was some damage to the bathroom bottom of the door, . Later that evening when we came back to the hotel we were locked out of our room and I went to the front check in desk. They said we did not know who was staying in the room. They asked for my credit card And I showed them that I was already charged for a room and did not give it to them. I was give 2 new access card keys . Once up at the room security was there and our new keys worked. All in all the room was nice. Checking out was easy , I did have to cancel my credit card after staying there. There was a unauthorized charge of $265.15 on my credit card charged by the embassy suites by Hilton in Buckhead. I called the billing office at the hotel and the staff/she asked if I had cancelled my stay(I did not cancel ) she said she would get with a manager and call me back. Never called back. The fraudulent charge is still there.

Location is relatively near airport although as we arrived at night, we took a $35 taxi from the International Terminal rather than shuttle bus to Domestic, sky train to Airport Station and then the MARTA to college park. Taxi driver was a maniac - he was lucky my airline meal didn’t end up on the floor of his taxi! The hotel shuttle driver the next morning was the nicest member of staff we encountered - genuinely friendly and helpful. Front desk staff were polite but austere.

This a high quality hotel nicely located next to Georgia Tech. The staff was very friendly at checkin/checkout and throughout my 3-day stay. My room was quiet (view on courtyard), comfortable, and excellent for working (large desk + light + good chair). The free internet is of sufficiently high quality (GT net + eduroam) for online meetings. Breakfast is well organised and of good quality; room service diner was also great.

The facilities were beautifully decorated and appeared just as it did in the pictures. You can tell they spent a lot of time decorating and designing the common areas and rooms. The location is perfect, right off of 14th street in midtown, close to other areas of Atlanta including Buckhead and Downtown. I would recommend this hotel for a stay if looking for a nice place close to restaurants and activities.
