Part of the hotel is renovated and I initially had a not renovated room. I couldn't open the windows of the room. When I complained I got a different room looking more towards the street and air conditioning engines which were loud during the night. At 699 $ the night totally below expectations!

Plenty of places to eat on the front.
Plenty of places to eat on the front. Selection of expensive and touristy shops. Bus terminal for buses to take you all over the island. Ferry terminal to take you to Dockyard and on to St. George's.

I booked this hotel because of their beach, and I was right!
I booked this hotel because of their beach, and I was right! The beach is absolutely fantastic.I would add a ferry between both Fairmont hotels, and maybe a couple of ferries from the hotel marina around Bermuda, but i would be just a little cherry on the icing on the perfect cake

Too many changes since years ago.
Too many changes since years ago.
Not to the benefit of friendly locals.
With the wealth of foreign investment, local business appears non-existent now too commercialised and rent for locals is sky-high.

The island is extremely expensive especially if you are visiting from America. A appetizer cost between 12-16 dollars and everything goes up from there. The locals are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Due to the dockyard the island is geared more towards tourists then its own people. I’d say this island is definitely for family vacation or business purposes only.

Pleasant city, which unfortunately clears out at night.
Pleasant city, which unfortunately clears out at night. Good restaurants and shopping. Excellent base to explore the entire island using the local bus system. Very nice waterfront, good facilities (public toilets, water refill stations). Pedestrian friendly. And the people are terrific -- polite, friendly, helpful. But it is pricey.
There are not enough characters in the world to say how wonderful our experience was. We travel a lot and never felt so welcomed with such personalized service. Niki, a manager was exceptionally sweet, but everyone from the wait staff to housekeeping to concierge deserves 5/5 stars. I think this hotel has ruined future trips for us since everywhere we go will never measure up! We never stay at the same hotel twice but would certainly do so next visit. Stop searching/comparing hotels. This is the one!
Rolly and Pascoal were suburb in their service and kindness to me, and to my friends. I looked forward to seeing them each morning at breakfast with their positive outlook on the day. If only all of us could be that hospitable to others the world would be a better place in which to live. Damon (Doorman extraordinaire) was fantastic on arranging our taxi drivers. Best taxi driver was a wonderful man, born and raised on the island, by the name of Vincent Whitter.
Location was fabulous. I could walk to all the sites in Hamilton . Fort Hamilton a nice walk 12 minutes or so.
As a solo traveler 🧳 I, aon the area.Tata & Rachel were always kind to me & answered my questions.
I learned where the Bus stations was & was able to easily go to St. George. They ( Tata & Rachel ) were very nice to call ☎️ for my occasional cab 🚕.
I enjoyed the breakfast 🥞 & it was a nice touch for the snacks & wine 🍷 a 5:00PM
the hotel is lovely and quaint. It feels more like a bed and breakfast in the best of ways. the Staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are beautiful and the grounds and pool are just gorgeous. It’s a wonderful place all around. and you can walk right down to town in ten minutes.
In a great location for the Railway Trail, Shelly Beach and seeing fabulous sunsets. A short ride to Hamilton and St Georges. It had everything I needed for my 15 day stay. The owners are very helpful and great hosts. They put me in touch with Jimmy the taxi driver who is extremely reliable and an excellent driver
The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Lana was very friendly and helpful. The location was great as it was just a short walk to restaurants and shopping in Hamilton. We would recommend the Egdehill to anyone looking for clean, comfortable, convenient, and friendly accommodations.
The hotel is lovely and the grounds are well landscaped and attractive. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. My room was very pretty, well appointed and quiet. There is a wine and cheese hour every evening in the lounge which was a nice way to meet other guests.
The service is state of the art. You do feel like royalty. Facilities are great although the hotel is quite big, it is a bit too pricy for the value, the room wasnt exceptional for the price I paid, but other than that it was a perfect stay.
Everything: Infinity pool, dining at Intrepid and 1609, our suite with patio, fabulous service from the moment we arrived. The hotel GM and the manager at Intrepid, went above and beyond to make our 50th anniversary celebration special.
Great value. Apartments are huge. They provided a beach bag with towels and you could take an umbrella
Tip: make sure you have a way to get around the island - get bus tokens (or coins in local currency) or rent a scooter.
Rachel and Frances were terrific. The room was spacious and very clean. The location is ideal for walking to all of the major spots in Hamilton… shopping, transportation and restaurants.
Close proximity to centre of Hamilton and RBYC. Comfortable and well appointed air conditioned room. Rachel was a most helpful and a delightful Oxford House ambassador.
