Stately Stuttgart is friendly and green. Surrounding the city are tree-lined hills, while in the center is the ‘Green U’, a series of parks and gardens that make great picnic spots.
The city’s focal point, Schlossplatz is a huge square with a tall column marking the entrance to the New Palace. Dating back to the 10th century, the city’s Old Palace is just opposite and its square is the site of the Stuttgart Christmas markets.
In the Bad Cannstatt area of Stuttgart are mineral spas, the 2nd largest in Europe behind Budapest. Just south of here is what the city is perhaps best known for – its car industry. Head to the architecturally-impressive Mercedes-Benz World for a spiraling walk through its history. On the opposite side of the city is the Porsche Museum, also worth a look.
Always something of a pioneer, the city erected the world’s first TV tower. Go to the top for amazing views. Other interesting Stuttgart attractions are the planetarium, and Stuttgart Zoo, housed in the Wilhelma Palace, built in Moorish style and once home to royals.
Before heading to Stuttgart Airport from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or B&B, make sure that you try some local Swabian food. The brezel (pretzel) originated here and makes a very tasty snack.

The centre is lovely: the Koenigsplatz and nearby, particularly when the sun is shining, is a good place to drink a coffee.
We always love the Stiftskirche: sometimes an organ is playing in there. The Markt is amazing: we usually buy things there. We recommend the excellent Italian restaurant on its first floor.
The parks are lovely too. Although the new railway station is a mess, one can still get to green places.
We also love the shops, particularly the old Stuttgart ones like Tritschler and Breuninger.

I've never seen a german city with more confusing roads and walkways 😄 It's like a city planner was on steroids. However the city is quite versatile and offers a lot of activities. Great for families, great for single persons. If you like to discover Stuttgart by bike: bring you muscles - a lot of hills there 😄

Stuttgart is currently under major construction to beautify it. At this point it was not pretty or inviting - maybe in a couple of years time when they get ahead it may feel more welcoming. Poverty is clearly an issue as it was prevalent throughout the city. The old city remnants are harder to distinguish and need revamping. Transport is good but two days is more than enough.
The malls were clean, tidy and provided a good selection of food and beverages.

Went to break up trip between Strasbourg and Nuremberg while visiting Christmas markets. Very pleasantly surprised at how nice the market was. Definitely one of the best. Enjoyed walking around and seeing the nicely, creatively decorated chalet rooftops. Food choices were very good and the vibe seemed a bit more authentically adult. I recommend a stopover in Stuttgart.

Love the many pedestrian only areas, the restaurants, and the shopping! Also, many great parks and the Zoo. Also easy to hop on trains and travel to other towns - we went to Esslingen and also to Strasbourg FR.
Recommend Robert Italian Cucina for great Italian food!
We were re-routed to Stuttgart after 2 cancelled flights to Munich. We took a chance on the Arcotel and found it to be lovely! We enjoyed a dinner at the hotel restaurant the first night after a long 2 days of travel. The next we had an easy walk to the Christmas Market. The location was great- super close to the train station! The hotel staff were so helpful with my lost luggage situation. We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay any time we find ourselves in Stuttgart!
The hotel is just 1,5 km far from city center, and there are metro stops in the nearby too. The car parking in the hotel underground costs 10€/night. The breakfast is perfect, large choice for a salted or sweet breakfast (12,90€/night). The single room was big and comfortable, with everything you need (apart from minibar. But you can go the bar of the reception H24). Room and the hotel in general is very clean. Staff is very polite and helpful.
While the location was just outside the Rotebuehl Strasse ring, it was easy enough to either walk into the interesting parts of Stuttgart or to get on the S-bahn or U-bahn to go further, faster. I did not drive, but it seems readily accessible by car.
The lady at the reception desk of the hotel was very helpful and precise and was quick to show me where my room was.
The hotel is really close to the U-bahn station Kirchalstrasse, so you can connect easily to the city center. The buffet breakfast was really good, just a couple of more options for fruits will make it perfect. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful, they also speak in English.
I’ve stayed in Maritim hotel many times now and it would be my choice also for future opportunities. located close to the city center, it’s easy to move around. spacious very clean rooms with everything needed. It’s slightly older style, but maintained in a great way, so it has always been as per the expectations.
Excellent hotel with option to park your car in a nearby public garage - make sure to contact the property prior to your arrival for detail instructions on how to obtain discounted price. There is a tram and underground station next to the hotel so it is easy to reach city center. We liked our room and breakfast.
Great hotel for groups of friends and business travels. Breakfast was good. We also appreciated the clean and tidy room, the good value for money, the pleasantness of the employees, the young active vibe and design and the espresso machine at the bar. I'd definitely come back if in Stuttgart again.
nice hotel ,nice location near a garden , a cemetery and a church , and within walking distance to the city center walk for those who want to shop . The parking is very big (I guess it was 3 floor levels under the hotel ) , the staff were friendly and the check in and check out were very fast .
Very spacious room, it was warm (in winter), had everything we needed for the stay. The staff was very friendly. The city center and public transport is in walking distance, but on the way back to the hotel you’d have to go up the hill a bit. Quite a few nice restaurants and bars around.
The hotel is in the heart of Stuttgart, near to the central railway station and very close to the center. We have arrived very late and the hotel provided self check-in option, what was greatly appreciated. the place is quiet, close to everything and nice.
Property is located in the forest just next to the road which is giving you an easy access to Stuttgart. In around 10 min without a big traffic you can be close to the city center. There is also an easy access to Porche and Mercedes-Benz Museums.
The hotel is new, located in a good quarter, 2 stops from the city center of city center. The room is small for 3 people, but clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast is good and varied. The staff is friendly. Thanks!
A perfect stay in Stuttgart. A modern, clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff who make every effort to ensure our stay is comfortable and pleasant. One of the nicest stays I have had anywhere - highly recommended.
We really liked how the hotel is really in the city center. Really easy to get there from the train station and close to the main streets and squares of Stuttgart. Really practical.
The behavior of the hotel staff was very good. Access to the city center by train and metro is very easy. There were supermarkets and restaurants around the hotel.
