With the Acropolis as the jewel in the archaeological crown of Athens, this city is full of history while embracing the future. Take a stroll back in time through the neoclassical streets of the Plaka, where you'll find tavernas serving tantalizing souvlaki and mousaka, street vendors and live entertainment.
A trip to the Parthenon and the Agora top most lists and can also be appreciated from a distance by walking along the Dionysiou Aeropagitou street, which is away from the busy crowds of the city center.
The changing of the guard occurs every hour on the famous Syntagma Square. From here, Ermou Street provides shopaholics with a fashionable retail sanctuary. The upscale districts Kolonaki and Kifisia are also bursting with fancy boutiques, galleries and bars.
Athens has some of the finest museums in the world, such as the National Archaeological, Acropolis and Benaki Museums. From Athens International Airport to the Port of Piraeus, this is a city bustling with the old and new. On Booking.com you can find everything from modern hotels to a room in a classical building.
Loved Athens, busy vibes everywhere. Not quiet.
Quite a few street people asking for money, and loads of kids playing drums for money, can be annoying.
So much to see. I booked a few tours, E-bike and food tour, both excellent. Good food everywhere. Plaka, can be more pricy. Psiri, is a must see at night, great cafes. Great Graffiti Art. Would do an Art/Graffiti tour next visit.
Acropolis and Agora great to see. No queues in March.
Hop on Hop of bus okay, but city centre just gets stuck in traffic. Piraeus well worth a visit.

Athens was lively with lots of good restaurants, shops and historical sights. It's a shame there is graffiti everywhere you look, even in the "ritzy" areas. It was difficult to distinguish between ritzy and derelict areas of the city.

Athens in March is not overcrowded with tourists.
Athens in March is not overcrowded with tourists. Temperature is perfect for walking to all ancient sites and museums.
Most of the tourist restaurants have heaters outside because in the evenings it is a little too cold without coat and heater.

Definitely the place to be if you are into history and arts.
Definitely the place to be if you are into history and arts.
Also I noticed that recently it got elevated gastronomically.
Not a clean city and you could say that there is a huge pay gap between upper and lower classes. The fact that the city is not hospitable to the locals themselves, it makes it also not appealing to tourists. Everything got more expensive the last few years and you can sense that it drains the locals. Therefore if you are a person with a bit of sensitivity on social matters, it makes the whole experience awkward, to say the least. Last but not least, it doesn't feel like a safe place for women to walk alone during the night.
The two bedroom apartment is spacious comparing to the other hotel rooms we stayed in Greece. The unit has 3 AC units, one for each room. It’s great for the hot summer in Athens. Our unit is on the second floor and it’s quiet.
The host is helpful. There is no Uber in Greece. We have 4 people and lots big luggages, which do not fit into most taxi. So, the host arranged taxi for us, between airport/apartment/railway station/cruise ship port. The driver is responsible and the price is reasonable.
Thanks.
The location was ideal as I was travelling from Athens the next day on the Ktel bus to Delphi. It was a short walk from the bus station. It was especially good as my Barclays account and the Greek bus company could not work together and I was unable to reserve my bus tickets until I got to Greece. Staying at the Roy meant I could go in person the day before I travelled. The hotelier explained the safety features of the room to me, which was excellent.
If your traveling to Athens, Greece on a budget then this is the perfect place to stay. The hotel has all the basics you need. It was very comfortable, centrally located in the heart of the city where you can easily get around to the many different neighborhoods and sites. Best of all the owners & staff were all really incredibly hospitable and friendly. I would recommend Hotel Tempi to anyone who are considering a short visit to Athens to stay here !!
I have no words to thanks enough to the stuff of the property. I went to Greece for 1 week and I tried 3 different hotels because I like to chance my location and get to know the culture and the country. The other hotels I been were more lichee and expensive this one was the cheaper hit the one I feel ore grateful and thankful. I will definitely back to Athens and to this hotel. Thanks for make my experience amazing and for make me feel special.
This boutique hotel is conveniently located in the center of Athens between Syntagma, Plaka and Monastiraki, right next to Ermou shopping avenue.
Spotless clean. Comfortable bed. And the view over Acropolis is as good as the pictures from the room on the 6th floor!
The staff! OMG it’s true that the people bless the place and all employees were smiley and friendly, glad to help and assist! It felt like a visit to my friends!
This hotel is perfectly placed if you want to be close to Syntagma Square, Plaka and the National Gardens. It is a 3 minute walk from the X95 bus stop (the Athens Airport bus - cost 5 euros and 50 cents).
We had a lovely big room that overlooked the road and church at the front of the building.
The breakfast was top class with plenty of choice and all high quality.
A very positive experience.
This hotel is incredible. The reception is super competent and extra friendly. They have the best breakfast I ever encountered in the whole of my trip through 4 islands + Athens, in Greece. The view from their rooftop at night is insane. In the same street, you find the most magical pastry shop ever full of Alice in Wonderland themed deco. Just book it!
We loved this hotel:
The location is tactical for seeing Athens,
The staff at the hotel are really kind, really good breakfast (generous and made with yummy ingredients).
Our room was so beautiful and clean, best one we stayed in in our whole time in Greece. You won't regret booking this place!
The hotel is in a great location to explore Athens by foot
no need for taxis.
also the two girls on reception were amazing and friendly
the best customer service we experienced in Greece!
love the rooftop and modern rooms.
staying here again for my next trip to Athens for sure!!!
The location is excellent. The breakfast is adequate. The best thing is the bed which is super comfy. The bathroom is huge by Greek standards. This is the best hotel I've stayed in, in Greece and I've stayed in 7 hotels in Greece so far.
Location was perfect for what we were looking for. Walking distance to shops, sights and restaurants. Soula is an amazing host, very caring and welcoming! It made our last night in Athens and Greece in general special. Thank you🙏🏼
We stay at this hotel every year when travelling to Greece and we are always greeted like we’ve arrived home! The staff are very friendly and the location is amazing! We love the boutique style of the hotel and rooms! Thank you
Titania Hotel was perfect the location the breakfast was really delicious the staff was really friendly and easy to approach and they give you exact details 🙂 highly recommended this hotel...love to stay in Athens Greece
Spacious apartment in an amazing location. Air conditioner worked well. The host’s recommendation for Dimitrios for our airport taxi driver was excellent, he was very friendly and knowledgeable about Athens and Greece.
Nice flat in athens, greece. The best host ever! Clean space and easy communication with them, I highly recommend staying here if you're planning a visit to Athens. It has all of amenities necessary for any traveler!!!
This was the best hotel of our trip to Greece. Really comfortable boutique hotel owned by two lovely sisters who really made our stay special. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Really fantastic hotel.
This was probably the cleanest hotel we stayed at during our stay in Greece and that is saying a lot because we booked some exceptional stays. The location was very convenient and the bed was so comfortable.
The staff was great and very helpful. The shower was very small but in the month we had in Greece the water pressure and water temp was much better than four star hotels we have stayed at.
very welcoming, wonderful and kind stuff and caring ,clean rooms , comfortable beds, safe inviroment, amazing view
in a nice area one of the best in Athens Greece !
