I arrived here at midnight, at a big modern airport.

I arrived here at midnight, at a big modern airport. I saw bus system in action. Rode to the hub on #5 then waited for #16 to south Tryon to get to laQuinta. No traffic late at nite, unlike Manhattan (,my town). Downtown looks thriving, lots hotels restaurants and activities. Good sports town I think. The working people at midnight were friendly and helped me reach my destination. Hotel staff also warm and respectful. Not sure I will ever return but loved that Charlotte airport. Bus system here is excellent even at midnight.

    Eating areas are needed.

Eating areas are needed. Hotels menu's are limited, so you go outside seeking other options. We found a burger king in the bus station, seemed like an unlikely location for any food service, yikes. The people are super nice and the city was very clean. I commend the city's efforts there. Access in and out of town was easy too. Thanks Charlotte for a lovely NCAA experience. If you want team gear, bring it, no one sells it on site. If you want a NCAA shirt of some sort, wait in line 30-40 minutes at the top of the escalator in the main entrance and still not get a common size large, isn't fun for the experience.

Charlotte has a lot to do and some really nice areas, but you need to be careful because there are a lot of rough and scary areas, Example, we went into a gas station to purchase a phone charger and the employees were wearing glocks with magazines, We were terrified.

Absolutely not and will never return. I booked a standard king when I arrived I was told that room was not available then she took my payment and also was kick Ed out the following day even though I had the same room con firmed and booked. And was told that I had to come back after 3. I was in dis belief and what gets me is why and where and what make booking .dot com think I have time to deal with headaches when I've been nothing but what they ask of me I fell more like a punk that getting abused and I am not happy about any thing at all here it is over a week later and I'm still telling sending u pics and I'm annoyed by not only the lack of support but. I booked a Charlotte City tour which was fun.

I booked a Charlotte City tour which was fun. We ate at Harris Teeter's which is on the order of Whole Foods. They have good quality food and is commercially based in NC. I would like to have explored Charlotte a little more, but we just didn't have time since it was the weekend before Christmas. Charlotte is a hub for sports fanatics and there are a lot of different types of professional sports and teams in Charlotte NC. A lot of shops were closed. I would come back to Charlotte in the summertime.

I don't usually bother with reviewing hotels, but I wanted to take the time to respond because I see some quite unfair comments for this hotel. Yes, it is budget and it IS basic. However, my room was scrupulously clean, with working toilet and TV, clean linen, daily refreshed teas and coffees, and a strong working lock on the door. I felt safe and comfortable and would happily come back. The young Indian guy on the door was a bit grumpy, but it was really no biggie. Very close to the airport.

The location was awesome I was going to a sporting event that night so it was a short distance from the stadium . Downtown Charlotte is amazing as well there’s plenty to do food or nightlife it’s all enjoyable. The decor of the hotel was incredible my wife loved the room especially the standalone bath. I would recommend the 600 Sq.foot room corner city view.

The staff were all very friendly, and they made sure that our check in/arrival process was as seamless as possible. The beds were comfy, and the entire room was clean! The best part of the hotel is the proximity to lots of fun activities in the uptown area! Lots of clubs, bars, and restaurants nearby, as well as things like the performing arts center, etc.

Everything was great! It's a beautiful hotel and the staff were all so nice and accommodating! Clean room! Plenty of space and just a fun place to stay! Easy access to the airport via their shuttle too! I loved the resourcefulness of the shampoo/conditioner/body wash/soap and lotion being large reusable bottles and not single use.

Great spot if you’re needing to go to the PNC pavilion. Charlotte doesn’t have much public transport so Uber is the best way I got around and it was super easy going to this hotel, with freeways close by. Staff are super lovely and my room was massive and clean. The bed was really comfy!
