Oxford House, hotel in Hamilton

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Oxford House offers accommodations in Hamilton. All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV. Certain units feature a seating area where you can relax.

We were delightfully surprised by our last-minute accommodation at the Oxford House. We unexpectedly had to stay another night in Bermuda (oh darn, right?) and the staff could not have been more welcoming, and the bed extremely comfortable. We appreciated the cozy conditions and assistance from staff throughout.

Grotto Bay Beach Resort, hotel in Hamilton

Located along Castle Harbor, this 21-acre tropical estate features an underground cave, full-service spa and spacious rooms with ocean views. LF Wade International Airport is a 10-minute drive away.

The on-site caves were amazing. The heated pool was a nice respite given the below average temperatures. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced (for Bermuda). The bus stops were at the entrance to the resort making island exploration easy and convenient.

Part of the hotel is renovated and I initially had a not renovated room. I couldn't open the windows of the room. When I complained I got a different room looking more towards the street and air conditioning engines which were loud during the night. At 699 $ the night totally below expectations!

Plenty of places to eat on the front. Selection of expensive and touristy shops. Bus terminal for buses to take you all over the island. Ferry terminal to take you to Dockyard and on to St. George's.

I booked this hotel because of their beach, and I was right! The beach is absolutely fantastic.I would add a ferry between both Fairmont hotels, and maybe a couple of ferries from the hotel marina around Bermuda, but i would be just a little cherry on the icing on the perfect cake

Too many changes since years ago.

Too many changes since years ago. Not to the benefit of friendly locals. With the wealth of foreign investment, local business appears non-existent now too commercialised and rent for locals is sky-high.

The island is extremely expensive especially if you are visiting from America. A appetizer cost between 12-16 dollars and everything goes up from there. The locals are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Due to the dockyard the island is geared more towards tourists then its own people. I’d say this island is definitely for family vacation or business purposes only.

Pleasant city, which unfortunately clears out at night.

Pleasant city, which unfortunately clears out at night. Good restaurants and shopping. Excellent base to explore the entire island using the local bus system. Very nice waterfront, good facilities (public toilets, water refill stations). Pedestrian friendly. And the people are terrific -- polite, friendly, helpful. But it is pricey.

Location was fabulous. I could walk to all the sites in Hamilton . Fort Hamilton a nice walk 12 minutes or so. As a solo traveler 🧳 I, aon the area.Tata & Rachel were always kind to me & answered my questions. I learned where the Bus stations was & was able to easily go to St. George. They ( Tata & Rachel ) were very nice to call ☎️ for my occasional cab 🚕. I enjoyed the breakfast 🥞 & it was a nice touch for the snacks & wine 🍷 a 5:00PM

Daily room service pancakes & maple syrup, coffee, and fresh orange. The bar and restaurant area under the awning is a very pleasant place to while away a leisurely dinner. The hotel is next to the oddly-named but much fun car hire of Twizy. A very Bermudian experience well recommended. A little of British history cheek by jowl with American modernity. Bermuda is wonderful if a little expensive.

Excellent place to stay, especially if you're looking for a something simple, centralized, and on a budget. The owner Brenda was so nice to us. She was very accessible, friendly, and helpful with suggestions of things to do. Location is nice too because it's about the same travel time to each end of the island from there.

The service is state of the art. You do feel like royalty. Facilities are great although the hotel is quite big, it is a bit too pricy for the value, the room wasnt exceptional for the price I paid, but other than that it was a perfect stay.
