Improvements - in the restaurant area, coffee and tea making...
Improvements - in the restaurant area, coffee and tea making facilities to be a bit more secure and spacious. To cater more for western tastes as opposed to locals - ie more cereals and yogurts. At time a bit too tight for numbers.
Pay more attention to health and safety around the tea/coffee area. Milk gets very hot, better signs to indicate this.
When floors are being mopped, to use wet floor sign so people are aware.

Colombo is now getting better after a recession few years back. They are on a speedy recovery. There are lots of places you can visit for sightseeing. If you are going on a business trip, Colombo is an ideal space for staying as they have all the good locations (especially importers and huge markets). Better book private hire through a car company, it's way cheaper if you want to explore the city. Walking is also a good option.

Beautiful city with clean and green infrastructure.
Beautiful city with clean and green infrastructure. Recommended for Indians to visit. Shopping was good (Visited - One face mall, City Center mall, Havalock city mall). Galle face location was great to spend some time with family. Independent square, Gangarama Buddhist temple, Lotus tower tourist spots were nice. 2 days is enough to cover Colombo city.

Havelock Garden BNB is very modern with a very pleasing aesthetic feel. It was spacious and had all the amenities you could possibly need. Great location with some great finds on your door step. Bus service, tuk tuks, shopping Mall, with a free ATM outside (inside charges) Sim card shop 50 metres away apx - end of the road. Sky Bar with infinity pool called Me Bar. Great to watch the city light up and it is happy hour 5-7pm - walking distance . To mention but a few. The housekeeper goes above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay and her Sri Lanken Breakfast is delicious and will set you up for the day. We could also have an english breakfast if desired. We would most definitely stay again.

The city is busy with chaotic traffic.
The city is busy with chaotic traffic. On the night of the 25th city roads from Colombo 3 to Fort were closed and we did not know. When we got a taxi (Uber and Taxis were not able to reach us) they charged 6 times more than the usual fare. The tuk-tuks often charge foreigners very high fees. Make sure you get into one with a functional meter. There are good places to eat. Don't eat street food because their hygiene habits are questionable. Colombo is reported as a dengue-prone area. So use mosquito repellent. During December, there weren't many. Ask the hotel you stay for taxis or use their local Pickme app. Yet it is often wise to check the agreed fee. Otherwise they charge much higher.
What can I say? What an amazing hotel. Every single staff member was so friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and really clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were planning on visiting the centre of Colombo but ended up spending our afternoon on the rooftop, which is one of the most beautiful rooftops I have ever seen. A huge infinity pool, a beautiful garden, multiple jaccuzis and hottubs, a bar... Perfect stay for our one night in Colombo. The breakfast had a massive variety of fresh products for everyone's taste.
Budget hotel with very friendly staff, very good location for travelers not far from the train station and near one of the main avenues where you can find restaurants and means of transport.
It is located at a short walking distance to the National Gem and Jewelery Authority of Sri Lanka, which makes it an option for those who are involved in the export of precious stones.
The room was clean and with air conditioning very suitable for a short stay to rest and continue the journey.
Had a wonderful New Year’s Eve stay at the Kingsbury Colombo. A special thank you to Sanjani at the front desk who helped sort out our booking and get us into the executive suite with a fabulous view that we had booked. The hospitality at this hotel was excellent. We had one of the best fine dining experiences in Sri Lanka at King’s Steak restaurant. Great selection and service at the buffets. Thank you to everyone at Kingsbury for making our stay such a memorable one.
My stay at ME Colombo was awesome. Overall I had a great experience from the time of check in through check out. Shenella was supper helpful getting us checked in and followed up during out stay. Shenella also assigned us a great room. The room was very clean. The best part of this hotel was the pool and the view. Perfect place to have a beer and chill. We had dinner at the hotel that night and Roshan made some great recommendations for dinner. Love this place..
We had opted for a sea view room. What we got was a corner room with a splendid view of the sea from two sides. The location was also a big plus and the hotel was a short tuktuk/cab ride from most of the places we wanted to go to in Colombo. There is a thin beach right across the road (50 steps or so) so you really don't have to travel far to meet the sea.
All common areas, rooms and washrooms were clean and the AC in the room worked as expected.
We booked panoramatic room for our last 2 days in Sri Lanka. Honestly, couldnt done better! Our room was sparkling clean, with jawdropping view from 21st floor. Never happened to me that we actually didnt even leave the hotel, because it was so nice up at the infinity pool with breathtaking views of Colombo. Also room servise is good, tasty snacks. Breakfast and dinners had huge selection of food, both sri lankan as well as international.
we stayed there last May with my husband .
the location of the hotel is perfect .
the rooms were a little small but beautiful with beautiful view on the beach. super nice decor and zen In this whole hotel.
breakfast was very good even though they didn’t had everything available because of the situation going on in Sri Lanka .
I recommend having a drink k. the rooftop , beautiful view and swimming pool.
I will definitely returned.
Beautiful boutique hotel, lovely spacious rooms, amazing bathroom and private terrace/garden. Beautifully decorated. The staff are the best!! Arun and the team even helped us out with returning a roomkey to a previous hotel. We had to leave for the airport on New Years Eve and they organized early dinner on our private terrace and waited for us to leave with the taxi before closing up for New Year celebration. Really amazing service
This was our third stay in three months! By far, one of the best places we've stayed at during our time in Sri Lanka. The customer service is exceptional, the beds are very comfortable, the food is of high standard and variety. The rooftop pool is the perfect place to relax and cool down under the Sri Lankan sun! If I were to return to Sri Lanka, I would most certainly book this hotel again.
Very friendly staff. Food was excellent. The restaurant services was amazing. The staff did amazing to keep the Christmas vibe within the hotel. Check-in and Check-out processes were very smooth and the reception was very professional and supportive. The food quality was great and there were many varieties of food selections. The infinity pool is undoubtedly one of the best in Colombo city.
The Room was very cosy and well decorated. From our window, we could see a nice garden. Even though you are in the center of Colombo, It is very peaceful and relaxing.
The sri lankan homemade breakfast is delicious!
i highly recommand it.
Rajeev and his wife were very hospitable and lovely. They do their Best to make you feel at home and they are very helpful !
The hotel has attractive decor and is in a great location in Colombo. The infinity pool on the 27th floor is definitely something special. The bathroom was huge and really liked the Japanese toilets. Breakfast buffet had a good continental breakfast spread as well as Sri Lankan options to try which were delicious. Cocktails at the roof terrace were great too.
The hotel is located not so far from Pettah.
The guy at the reception was kind and ready to help us. The room was quite normal size and the bed was comfortable. There is a kettle with tea and coffee as well as 2 bottle of water for free.
Generally it was clean room and wc.
A good option with effordable price to stay for short time in Colombo.
We started our Sri Lanka journey here, because it was so nice we ended our journey here too. The rooms are clean, the showers and toilet are clean. Everything you need.
It’s not a 5 Star hotel but Malitha gives 5 Star hospitality!! So friendly and so helpful, this place will always be our Colombo accommodation!
This place is an oasis in Colombo. We just had one overnight after our arrival at Colombo airport. It’s about 45min from the airport (wo. traffic jam). The interieur and garden area of the boutique hotel is really nice. The staff was very friendly and supportive. The Sri Lankan breakfast is a recommendation.
Very good hotel with a customer service on the highest level. Especially thank to lady Kumala on reception with her professional care I had the best stay in Colombo.
Definitely I would recommend to friends and family.
Great location, close to many main attractions of colombo, good facilities, great view of lake from swimming pool, good breakfast.. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.. Specially Supun at main reception..
There is no doubt and any questions. Perfect place to stay and has a very professional staff from the word go. All the facilities are standard level and one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka.
This was a nice modern hotel. The breakfast was great (best of all our 5 star Sri Lankan hotels). We particularly liked the separate private beach and club house (via a free shuttle).
very elegant hotel, attached to a nice mall that includes good restaurants. I did not expect to eat the best Japanese Ramen in Sri Lanka! we booked the suit. The view was nice.
