The Saudi Arabian capital, sprawling Riyadh is a mix of historic monuments and ultra-modern skyscrapers. On a plateau surrounded by desert, it is one of the Middle East’s richest cities, so there are several 5-star hotels in Riyadh.
This wealth is also evident in modern architecture, particularly the Kingdom Center, a perfectly sculpted building looking strangely like a bottle opener. Lit at night, it has an observation deck with fantastic city views.
On its bottom floor is a shopping mall, and there is another inside Al Faisaliyah, the country’s 1st skyscraper. Riyadh is a shopping paradise and there are even more malls on wide, palm-lined King Fahd Road. This king also gave his name to King Fahd Stadium, home of the Saudi soccer team.
Unusually for a capital, King Khalid International Airport is right in the center of the city and there are lots of Riyadh hotels near the airport on Booking.com. South, in Al Murabba, is the King Abdulaziz Historical Center, site of the Saudi Arabia National Museum. Further south in Dirah is 19th-century Al-Masmak fort with souks and mosques nearby.
Wherever you stay, remember that Saudi Arabia is a deeply Islamic country and that local customs should be respected. Men and women may not be able to access attractions at the same time.
Everything is far from each other and traffic is really bad.
Everything is far from each other and traffic is really bad. Kareem is too expensive and most of the time you get extra charges that you cannot do anything about it. Lots of big malls but all of the more or less copy paste of each other in terms of brands.

Riyadh is a very big place to hang around and you might never be able to book a stay long enough to discover it in its full.
The other thing is that Riyadh is a more liberal place for people to be around, just like a lot of big cities around the world you can see all kinds of different people with different background wandering the streets even though Islamic law prevails, they are not as tough on appearing rules as they may be on the smaller villages and towns in Saudi Arabia.
Just don't do anything an ordinary family (member) would not do and don't mingle in religious affairs and you will be safe.

This is a fast-developing country with ambitions to improve the socio-economic status in the region, so there is no doubt it is already standing out with its infrastructure and its plans for growth in tourism and global awareness. Shopping and a little bit of nature are a must if you would like to immerse yourself in the local culture. On the flip side it is becoming very modern and open to all creeds and cultures with parks, concerts, fairs etc.
Language is not necessarily a barrier, as is in most parts of the world, so don't let that stop you.
Best times to travel are during the winter months in Saudi Arabia.

The city still needs more improvement, heavy traffic is killing the city and killing any plans also the car drivers there are very reckless, The LEAP event was established around 90KM from the city center where all the people can find hotels or houses it was literally in the middle of the desert without any restaurants and cafes, also prices in restaurants and coffeeshop are expensive compared to other Gulf cities like Doha or Dubai, In general it is not that bad but if you travelled before to Qatar, UAE and Oman and expecting the same experience you might feel disappointed, hopefully the new vision to Improve Riyadh and to make the new business capital will be in place and Riyadh will be better keeping in mind that 6-7 years ago nothing was there and the city improved a lot since then
Room I stayed is comfort and truly felt like a haven after a long day of activities. The location is also worth mentioning. Situated in a prime area of Riyadh, it offers convenient access to various attractions and amenities. Whether I needed to explore the city, visit shopping malls, or attend business meetings, everything seemed to be within easy reach. The breakfast at Rosh Rayhaan by Rotana hotel in Riyadh was a delightful experience. There were numerous options to choose from, catering to various tastes and preferences.
This hostel is excellent, the receptionist and people are friendly, helpful. The facilities are cleaned daily. They provide linens, towel, toiletries, slippers, lockers, free wifi.
The location of the hostel is near from the airport and center city. The place is secure and safe with cctv. And through registered fingerprint on the door lock, can enter and go out on your own convenience.
I had the best experience in the hostel and I will come again on my next trip to Riyadh. Highly recommended.
The hotel is old compared to the other hotels in Riyadh but the location is the best really. easy to get everywhere from Dabab.
the staff at reception are really helpful and polite. especially Suleiman and Mahmoud. they helped with the taxis, recommendations for food, they took a really good care for our comfort.
breakfast is good, full of variety :) cleaning is every day, they bring fresh water too on a daily basis :)
I really like this hotel for my business trip, it was a calm and nice hotel with a very comfortable and convenient location close to airport and Riyadh front.
I really enjoyed my stay, and the staff in breakfast area were so nice and accommodating!. Every signal person Ram and the other staff, I would also like to thank Widad in the front desk and all staff the staff made my stay beautiful and pleasant.
Perfect location in the heart of the best restaurants and coffee houses in Riyadh on Tahalia Street! Spotlessly clean inside and outside the rooms. Outstanding staff! Very helpful and friendly. The day manager Ahmed at the front desk was absolutely tops!! A bevy of nostalgic artifacts and really cool artwork from America, England and many other countries can be admired all around the hotel.
This is my first visit to this hotel. I enjoyed my stay a lot. I got a very nice Room. The hotel General Manager upgrade my reservation to a Suite Room. Very friendly staff especially the front desk staff. The location ambiance is nice and easy to access. I kept this hotel on my whitelist for my next Riyadh visit and thank you hotel booking showing this suggestion.
The hotel is beautiful and the furniture is new
The rooms are quite small, but designed in a way that makes you feel comfortable
Breakfast is enough, meeting expectations Breakfast at the pool
The location is far from the city center, but it is close to the airport and most places in northern Riyadh for those who come from outside Riyadh
Fairmont is one of the best hotel in Riyadh!!! everything was perfect, our room was very big and comfy, the breakfast was delicious and there was so many choices, the staff was very friendly and helpful and they were super welcoming on arrival, special thanks to Mr.Hani ,BEST experience ever.
One of the best hotel with rooms having some amazing view of the city and located in one of the prime street of Riyadh. Abubaker at the front desk and Hotel Manager Saed were very friendly and kind during our stay. The in house staff kept the hotel room clean on daily basis.
It has been a good experience. Room was large and clean, not too much noise despite previous comments online. Hotel was located not too far from various food and entertainment areas, keeping in mind that everything is scattered in Riyadh. Good connection from the airport.
Simply one of the best hotels I have stayed in . I was in Riyadh in February for a conference and I stayed a total of 8 nights and loved it. I am back in Riyadh for business meetings and chose it. Will recommend it to my friends and business partners
The property was clean and modern, it was what I expected, 3 star basic hotel, Bed no Breakfast. I mainly choose it because it was close to King Faisal Hospital, could be cheaper nut the value for money was acceptable for the prices in Riyadh.
Staff very friendly and smooth, room is very nice because have a good view and this hotel is the best for us❤️we choose here always to stay until we here in Riyadh, and very amazing because it's ok to accept a guest ❤️we are happy 😊
One of the best hotel in Riyadh and my first preference always. Clean and spacious rooms... Very good aroma. Clean carpets and furniture. Spacious bathrooms. Big flat TV. Breakfast is amazing.. With many choice of dishes and tasty
Real 5 stars experience in Riyadh. There are many hotels with this rating in the city, but very far of the service and the capacities of this hotel. Amazing place, with really profesional team. I Will definitively come back.
It was a brand new hotel with wonderful rooms. Extremely luxuriousm highest end materials. The bed was huge with more than 2 m witdth. Nice few over the city of Riyadh. Very good location in the Olaya district downtown.
The Hotel is very clean and the room is big with a huge smart tv screen and a convenient balcony , also the location is good while u cannot say this in riyadh since its a huge city with so crowded traffic
Well, The best hotel in Riyadh I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms, and high quality service..
