    Venice was amazing!

Venice was amazing! While seeing the historical attractions is a plus, just walking along the canals and eating at the Ristorantes was so relaxing and felt as if you where in another world. The Florian Cafe while expensive should be done at least once! The green area/parks in Castello is a must as well as a Gondola ride, however if you are expecting your Gondolier to sing to you, think again; you need to hire a someone to do that!

Venice is a touristic hell. Avoid weekends.

Venice is a touristic hell. Avoid weekends. You can get the full experience through stock photo's. Overpriced mediocre food. Fake romanticism. The whole city is built on taking your money. Avoid at any cost. Best place in Venice is Marco Polo airport, to get out as quick as possible.

You are walking in a well protected mediavel city.

You are walking in a well protected mediavel city. Lot of sights. We were there in april and it was not so crowded and temperature was very nice. The food options are tricky, there lots of ristoranti, trattoria etc.. But we had better food from the pizza places which sell by slice. I guess the amount of tourist they receive has an impact on sit in restaurants. Still there are many options to check.

Venice is definitely the most beautiful and most romantic...

Venice is definitely the most beautiful and most romantic city in the world. Nothings is like Venice, and it is a breakthrough overwhelming beauty and ambiance. I am from Paris France (the most beautiful city in the 20th century) and resident in Dubai (the most glamorous city in the 21st century). Venice was both Paris & Dubai and the center of the world in the 6 & 7 centuries and combine the beauty, the glamor's and the history. Venice is an open indoor and outdoor museum and cultural atmosphere in every street, building, square, monument, palace and bridge.

Excellent city full of history. It is a time travel. Beautifull buildings, something to admide in every corner. Romantic. But. Too crowded. The things that you buy or eat are sometimes not of the best quality. So be carefull. Not friendly for people on wheelchair or other mobility problems. Too many bridges.

a wonderful city with almost too much to take in on a single...

a wonderful city with almost too much to take in on a single visit so many fabulous buildings lots of good places to eat and easy to walk around but tiring The crowds of visitors, particularly of rather boisterous youngsters, probably means that later in the year it could be almost too busy we were fascinated to see late in the evening that St Marco was flooding several inches and we had difficulty getting into our hotel with dry feet!

Where do I begin. This was our best stay in Italy. The apartment was spacious for the 4 of us. The staff Elisabetta was so friendly and responded to us immediately when we had questions. It was very convenient to walk from the hotel to San Marco Square and other areas. There were a few restaurants and bar nearby too. Breakfast was prepared one day ahead and topped up for the next day (cereal, milk, biscuits, yogurt etc.). They also had a small game room filled with board games and some books we could borrow during our stay.

The hotel boasts a unique style that beautifully captures the essence of Venice. The rooms are not only stylish but also impeccably clean, a rarity in Italy. The room is very spacious and having a washer was extremely convenient as we were traveling to a few cities in Italy and this wasn’t our first stop. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful getting us to and from the train station. He set us up with one of their tour options and gave great restaurant recommendations. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Responsive helpful host gave us clear instructions when we had an issue with the AC not working - fixed it quickly. The room was quiet at night but bed was very hard (but so is every bed we've slept in so far on our 5 weeks in Italy) - Lucas place had a great atmosphere but was lacking a little extra.

The breakfast was the best one we had in italy , it is carried up in baskets together with juice coffee and fresh warm croissants and bread ! Amazing. Totally did not expect that at all. The staff is also extremely kind to us. We were allowed to stow our bag in the hotel so we could explore easier the last day. Which helped so much since venice is full of stairs and carrying bags can be troublesome. The bed was very soft as well.
