The Sydney Tower is the highest point on the skyline and offers a restaurant with panoramic views.

We toured and met friends and family. Easy to travel around the city. Excellent public transport. Pretty views and lovely beaches. We had an excellent tour of the opera house. Boat tour of the harbour. Visited the Queens Park Barracks museum which was well set up and interesting.

If we had extra time I would have preferred to do the Hop on Hop Off bus over 48hrs instead of 24hrs. Wish they would run longer during the day and have more buses. Can wait at stops for an hour which kills your day.

Very disappointing to stay in Sydney's Sans Sausi Guest House 29 The Promenade!
Staying in a very tiny room -maximum 2-3 square metres in size with no windows openable plus an empty but useless fridge put in the room.
Need to upload personal ID plus photo of holding ID as part of check-in procedures. Loads of requirements to ask guests to obey to stay. Right after check-out, scam calls come through -bit of concerned personal information security.
Shared bathroom and kitchen are clean.

I loved: Walking around the harbour, under and across the Harbour Bridge, great views from there; Chatting with a local on the bus (Hi Sheila!!); Lunch at Flour and Stone (Woolloomooloo cafe with great food and friendly service). Smooth tasting, hot coffee on the promenade at Caffe Gigi, Circular Quay - didn't have to ask for a glass of water, the waiter was on to it. Strand Arcade is a magnificent Victorian arcade, great for browsing. I didn't make it to the Art Gallery of NSW this time, but enjoyed it on previous trips.

Wonderful city with several options for seeing the town.
Wonderful city with several options for seeing the town. We took Uber and Train and both were great. So much to do - the Opera House tour was a favorite!!
We were disappointed in the Aquarium and Zoo. They were disorganized and not especially clean.

Far too much road work and building work going on.
Far too much road work and building work going on. It is clearly a poorly planned and poorly managed city. There are also far too many LGBTQI+ promotions going on. How about Sydney promotes everyone and everything for all to explore in Sydney and not just one small minority. It was both embarrassing and awkward to walk around and have everything thrust upon you. Clean up the city and get all the renovations done. Get more trees in and make the city look newer and more inviting. It disgusts me that after 20 years and living there that I return to feel so bitterly disappointed. I won't be returning any time soon and I won't take my children either. If I stay anywhere it will not be in the city.
The Fullerton is a good five-star hotel without being exceptional other than its location in Sydney's old post office building which adds character to the environment within the hotel. Rooms, staff and food are of a quality to be expected in a five-star hotel. A special feature of the hotel is its very central location in the city and its close proximity to light rail (trams) and trains which can take you quickly to Circular Quay and the ferries giving you ready access to all tourist and shopping sites, including the airports.
The location of this hotel is just perfect ! Very Well connected by trams , (just outside the the hotel ) close to wynyard station, ferry area at circular quay, Sydney CBD area , Woolworths Metro is across the street . We booked a 2 bedroom apartment - comfortable for our family of 2 adults and 2 teen kids. The bedrooms were separate from the kitchen and lounge . Apartment was well equipped with all the basic amenities .
The hotel front office staff was helpful , friendly and available on call.
Location is excellent. One of cheapest hotels in Sydney with awesome views. Great pub downstairs. And there’s another bar on L4 with a number of lounges to sit in. Restaurant/bar on L5 but more formal-no flip flops allowed. Lovely staff and old historical building. Walk outside literally down some steps and you’re on the harbour. 15 minutes walk to opera house or you can cut through The Rocks area and walk in 5 minutes. The city is 10 minutes walk the other direction so everything is nearby.
The Fullerton is located on George Street, one of Sydney’s main thoroughfares, with easy access to Circular Quay, the Rocks and other city attractions. This very modern, 5-star hotel sits behind a historic post office, making for a very attractive combination of the historic and the modern. Our room was a little small, but very comfortable and staff were responsive to requests for coffee and mugs. We were expecting a smaller, more intimate hotel but were very pleased with our experience.
Situated close to Chinatown was absolutely perfect for a short walk to Paddy's Market, Central Railway Station & the Light Rail to give access to the Airport, Trains & Circular Quay with Ferries on Sydney Harbour to enjoy Taronga Zoo, Manly & a host of other destinations. The cleanliness of Maze was outstanding, due to the efforts of both Management & certainly the guests. Awesome.! Oh, and Maloney's Hotel only 50 metres walk away, is a "must" to visit. Trust me lol
We needed a family room due to transit. The apartment (self-catering!) Was great: very clean, large and cozy, kitchen including dishwasher + good equipment, washing machine + dryer, very good beds, 2 bathrooms, top soundproofing, balcony, great location to the airport (we did not need shuttle offer) and supporting and friendly staff. It was one of the best hotels we had on our 3-week AUS-trip. Price-performance was also right.
Highly recommended!
Awesome hotel near CBD. it's clean and run by a Mgr called Donna. it's very clean.
near to opera house & CBD & circular quay. A nice breakfast will be provided, at least you can manage till 4 pm, without eating anything. Apart from the hotel, I like the coffee machine. I have also recommended to my office people to book this hotel when they attend Sydney. its very near to everything.
Excellent location - short & easy walking distance to Darling Harbour / ferry wharf & Crown Barangaroo, within moderate walking distance to Circular Quay & Opera House via Observatory Hill Park or Argyle Street, close to CBD shopping. While contact with staff was limited they were helpful and obliging. The expressway above the building did not present any noise issues for us.
We stayed here because CBD pricing was exuberant due to a city marathon the following morning so it was a bit of a mission returning to Olympic Park after a night in the city however this is no fault of the hotel but something to keep in mind for others. Staff were lovely. Parking convenient but pricey. Bed was comfortable.
The location of the Travelodge York Street is perfect for getting from the airport by train and in walking distance to circular quay, the rocks, the Barongaroo precinct and the harbour bridge. You really don’t need a car here at all!
The accommodation is very comfortable and clean and very good value for a budget hotel.
Spacious room and large comfortable bed. Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff who were quick to quieten down noisy neighbours late at night. Reasonable price in relation to upmarket hotels nearby. Within a few minutes walk of all the action in The Rocks, harbour and harbour bridge climb.
the hotel has a check in lobby in the top floor. the view from the cafeteria is great and there is even a fireplace in the lobby deck.
nice and modern interior and comfortable bed. you can walk from the Sydney domestic airport if you want.
It's very close to the airport, but also to some neighborhoods with a pretty diverse array of things to do (not common with airport hotels). There's a great pie place right across from them that makes a good latte.
Very convenient for early departures from Sydney International airport. Spacious, clean and well appointed rooms.
One of the few hotels at the airport that has a reasonable restaurant and stays open until 21:30
Proximity to airport was key for us. We got into Sydney late and this hotel was a 20 minute walk from domestic terminal. Room was clean and staff friendly.
