I believe India's fourth largest populous city, so it's huge. Liked the Tuk Tuk rides in crazy city traffic. The museums were good plus amazing Hindu temples. The general vibe of a large Indian city. Felt always safe.

Must visit. People are warm. Culture is open ended. Malls especially amba is my all time favourite. Had food from mainly vegetarian restaurants. I would avoid taking taxi next time as public transport is still perfect in chennai. Getting around in taxi and auto is faster in this city. You can take a walk even in the night as people are respectful towards fellow human beings.

Beautiful place and nice people, though it was said, they only talk in Tamil, I found it incorrect coming from North India, they helped, in trains, taxi, Ola etc. Nice food. Good beaches, very good traveling measures, nice places around Chennai too.
Only it was hot for me...

Chennai is a surprisingly modern city in that its facilities and modes of transport are smooth and seamless. The metro is very convenient. The residents of Chennai, especially at their professions, have a pleasant professionalism and competence. While Chennai is warm, it isn't uncomfortably so.

Chennai is a huge, noisy, dirty city with horrendous traffic and very few tourist attractions. We only stayed there for a night at each end of our trip as we flew into and out of Chennai airport. I wouldn't bother spending any more time there than is necessary for transit to be honest.

Shopping in Chennai is good, but due the on going metro phase 2 works the city is conjusted with hravy traffic. As the city itself is connected with the sea the climate particularly now is very hot and humid
My recent stay at Gsilver Nungambakkam was enjoyable and hassle-free. The hotel's central location in Nungambakkam made it easy to explore Chennai's attractions and landmarks. The room was spacious and well-appointed, providing a comfortable retreat. The staff were attentive and friendly, always willing to assist with any requests or inquiries. While the hotel's facilities were basic, they met my needs for a short stay. Overall, Gsilver Nungamakkam offers a convenient and comfortable accommodation option in the heart of Chennai.
The ambience, water based Rajasthani leisure stay which included the longest pool with water fall and private clean seafront with perfect landscaped lush garden was awesome . Rahul at the reception was completely with us in getting the right room of choice , our anniversary celebration and mellowed us down from the hectic city life !
The housekeeping was perfect , food tasty and the evening complimentary high tea with Rajasthani folklore was the best ..
Kaldan is the in thing on ECR...
Be there !
The moment I entered the hotel, it was nothing but a time shift back to the 1900s, it had 2 massive courtyards and the rooms were simply fabulous, I had taken a deluxe room with a private bathroom, and the bathroom was a huge one with a neatly maintained closet and floor. I spent a day inside Broadlands exploring multiple places inside (There is a lot more to explore). If you are visiting Chennai and want to stay at a great location with utmost peacefulness, then Broadlands is the place for you.
Everything was fantastic. I was sad that four star hotels I wanted were very far from main Chennai. So I booked Rathna. But boy I was amazed with their services. Specifically the breakfast buffet. 5-7 items but perfectly yummy, balanced and healthy as well. Never have I ever ate this much of healthy South Indian breakfast. I loved the lady manager who was there serving us dosa. From cleanliness to room service everything was great. If you find this on your dates.. do book.
I had a wonderful experience at the GT Grade...Rooms are neat and clean...very comfortable.... it was awesome...Staff's was amazing and polite... they went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable...The service was exceptional as well...the Front office staff were well trained...this was the top hotel in Chennai...one more thing...In Restaurant facility also available...it alsooo tasty and spicy on budget price... Everything awesome...
I went to attend a conference in Chennai and stayed 4 nights. The hotel is a little bit far from the airport but that was not an issue at all. It was comfortable, the buffet breakfast and dinner were delicious. The room was very well lit and spacious and quiet, clean. The location is good with cabs. autos available just outside the hotel.
Room - I must say a good size one and comfort enough. Breakfast - Not upto standard, little disappointed compare to any other hotels. Before arriving to chennai we were at Kingsbury, Colombo and the food was absolutely fantastic. So you should do better like decent bacon sausages and egg
We did not have dinner, so cannot comment.
This hotel is close to the Chennai MGR Central Railway Station and Nehru Stadium. I was able to watch a football match and walk back to the hotel in 5 minutes. It's about a few more minutes to get to the train station. The hotel is generally clean and it is acceptable for a short stay.
Best Hotel in Chennai... Rooms are clean. Nice and friendly staff... Buffet Dinner was worth paying 😋 👌 all of our family members enjoy staying here... I use to travel Around India & most hotels show different pictures. But this is Real they have and they post... keep it up Guys 👦
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent experience I had at the Sheraton Chennai Hotel, Room no. 118. My stay, which took place from 23 Aug 2023 to 25 Aug 2023], was far from satisfactory, and I believe it is important to bring these issues to your attention
Arriving in Chennai, tired after an overnight flight, we were originally booked into a different hotel from this one. Being unhappy with the previous accommodation, we left and booked into Fortel and were relieved to experience comfort and excellent service from the Fortel staff.
The whole ambiance of Broad Lands is fabulous. Yes, stuck in a time warp I would say but that’s what makes the hotel stand out. An oasis in a very busy part of Chennai, very relaxing. Very clean.
It so nice to stayed here.its very comfortable and clean..Had a conversation with the knowledgeable reception staff. Best place to stay in Ecr.If you wanna smooth stay then choose this hotel.
the great advantage of this hotel is the close proximity to Chennai International Airport. courteous staff, wide variety of food, cleanliness and what not.
Only the location made sense as it was central chennai which was the first reason for selecting this hotel. But other than this terribly disaapointing.
