If you’re visiting Dusseldorf in February, you’ll witness the bright parade of Carnival. If you visit in July, you can take part in the Largest Fair on the Rhine. No matter what time of year you visit you will find a city bustling with festivals, art, music and museums.
Much of the action occurs in the Old Town, otherwise known as the Longest Bar in the World due to the amount of cafes and bars serving a dark beer called “altbier”. The facility was like new and we had no problems with the room. The restaurant was great, the staff is very friendly. Would definitely stay there again. The website did say there was a shuttle service, but it was not free and cost more than a taxi, so we used a taxi in the morning to get to the airport.
