We enjoyed the many reasonably priced restaurants in our area. We toured the temples and mountain top to see the view of Penang. We also toured the Spice Garden, Butterfly farm and Tropical Fruit Farm. I recommend booking a driver and touring these venues.

Love the atmosphere with the hustle and bustle of the smaller city. Food is great especially their seafood and hawker stalls, highly recommend Coco Island Street Food for their grilled seafood, Roti Canai Transfer Road for their roti canai and roti bakar and Batu Ferringhi's hawker stalls for their quick fix of Malaysian cuisine like char kuey teow, nasi goreng and satay.
Their malls aren't worth going as they have the same shops as in Kuala Lumpur, rather just walk and eat at their local shops.

Really enjoyed my stay, wonderful food, interesting places to see and the people were very warm.
My favorite spot was the hotel, enjoyed everything about our stay and the cafe was wonderful, we ate at least one meal there a day. They served a variety of food so we were able to have something different each meal.
The staff at Muntri Mews helped us in many ways, getting us taxis and cycle rickshaws, advice on where to go and what to see and eat.
Thank you all for a wonderful stay!! Hope to be back soon!

Mostly crowded place in any popular Nasi Kandar shop and food court. Its actually worth your while if you are patience and willing to wait
The town are full with historical area, not short of explanation given by hotels, pamphlet to explain what going on with Penang, very tourist centric and accomodating even to a new travellers.
In Penang, i rather stay in Georgetown or a bit to the south until Air Hitam, rather than in bustling area of nearby Tanjung Bungah or Batu Feringgi because the area are very isolated and a bit far from the most attraction in Penang. In a very busy day, a trip from Batu Feringgi to Penang Hill might take up to one hour!
For muslim traveller, Local Indian Muslim (assortment of curry) Nasi Kandar, Nasi Briyani, Gurney Drive and Ais Tingkap is a must!

Georgetown is a must for everyone.
Georgetown is a must for everyone. This town is a food mecca... it is hard to find a bad eatery, there are so many amazing places to eat, Michelin star restaurants at local Malaysian prices, hawker centres where you will queue with the aunties for a 6rm plate of the best noodles you'll have ever tasted. There are so many fantastic bars and speakeasies. The street art... it is easy to get lost in the culture as you wander around the old streets, before ducking into a place for a cold drink and some AC.

Penang is my late dad’s hometown, so i’ve been visiting and staying in the Island many times since I was a child. I’d say that its capital George Town has it all; beaches, historical sites, shopping places, cultural centres, you name it and they got it.
One of the must-visit place in Malaysia whenever you’re in the country; please take note that it’s not that close to Kuala Lumpur/KL. If you’re driving from KL, it’ll take around 4-5 hours drive (and longer traveling hours train). Alternatively, you may take a 45 minutes flight via KLIA.
Oh, and skip the fancy clothing when you’re in Penang. It’s hot for the most part of the year. There’s no need to suffer in the name of fashion.
Beautifully restored hotel with a tastefully designed new wing. We stayed in the new wing - Victory Annex. The rooms are large and well equipped and there was a private balcony overlooking the sea. Would recommend having breakfast at the 6th floor Planters Lounge rather than the larger ground floor restaurant. 6th floor swimming pool was a bonus and great for a beer and swim after exploring George Town. The atmosphere of the hotel is relaxed and the staff are friendly and professional,
The hotel location was central of George town main streets and excellent. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, the staff gave us a very detailed introduction to sightseeing in Penang. In addition to that, they prepared a packed lunch box for breakfast since they knew that we would depart early in the morning the next day as well as they sent our parcel at the post office, which was not originally included in hotel service. They also handled the early morning airport drop off for us.
Good vibe, the room, downstairs and the outside had lots of personality.
Nice balcony, nice idea to put out books that guests can borrow. There were options for different languages.
The staff was amazing and very helpful.
We were woken up by the mosque, but we booked the hotel knowing this and were curious to experiencing that bit of culture. Definitely something special to experience!
When in George Town, I would definitely book this hotel again.
The hotel is very clean , staff is friendly and helpful as I have difficulty during check in when making payment.
This place is very near to food court and strategy.
Privacy is good, and I can park my car in front of hotel , very convenient.
Just one thing that to improve is the sound proof of the building need to be improve as is behind a moquse but I believe that's no a prob as we are Malaysian
The hotel lobby area was great, the restaurant food was delicious. The room was clean and spacious, the location is amazing, and we found out that we could visit the other Bayview Hotel in Batu Ferringhi and use the pool with our key cards. The hotel is surrounded by a huge blend of various cultures and communities, and you can easily walk around and see many interesting things.
We are so frustrated.booking.com should terminate this agent.they did not reply whatsapp, nor answer your call.Until last minute we arrived & waited at the lobby for two hours.5 hours journey from KL and all exhausted, laterv agent ask to change other hotel in Tanjung Tokong.Very dissapointed with this bad service.BOOKING.COM PLEASE TERMINATE THIS AGENT.
Great location. Lots of good food options and bus stops with a short walk. Staff was great at answering all my questions. They were very responsive. Wifi worked well for me. This is a good place to stay in George town. Great value.
Excellent staff. Very friendly and treated us like family. Boutique hotel with timber ceilings and floors and interesting furnishings. Comfortable bed and easy walking to everything in George Town. Lovely private pool.
Arguably The Best Boutique Hotel and being the 1st Small Luxury Hotels of the World’s property in George Town, Penang. A beautiful historical mansion restored to its full glory, with a very personal touch.
Loved the location of this hotel, close walk back into George Town, as was lovely to have the option of a pool after a long day of walking. Rooms were beautifully done up with old antique furniture 😍
Perfect location - most sights in George Town are close to each other, but the hotel is also walking distance from the ferries which is a bonus. The room I was in had a view over the clan jetties.
Such a gorgeous luxury boutique hotel. The in the rules are tastefully and beautifully done. Room is spacious and love the Aesop amenities provided.. Location wise is good and convenient.
Excellent choice for the trip. The hotel is an absolutely brilliant place to stay. Boutique interiors give it a classy look and the location is also fantastic.
Firstly The room decoration and for bathroom is nice and comfortable, and price also affordable. I will come and booking again this hotel for short vacation.
