I liked the location, so close to many tourist attractions. The hotel was beautiful. My husband utilized the pool area and said it was good. The breakfast was OK but the bacon and sausage were cold. The view from the restaurant was simply wonderful. We loved the hotel but had issues with the restaurant. Other than the view, the restaurant was not one of our favorites. (explained below). If and when we do return to Athens, we will call on you again but will not utilize the restaurant.

Generally the city is quite chaotic and not very clean, but there are some nice areas (also some very not nice ones...). Public transport is working well, you can get to the most important places by metro and get to the beach by bus. We went at end of May and crowd was surprisingly okay, not too bad. If you want to do sightseeing, you should go by end of May i would say as weather was already pretty hot.
For the the city, 3 days are enough, other days i would go to the nearby islands.

Beware of certain e ticket companies that wont get you skip the line tickets. Get the official e tickets and go to the front of the queue as the e ticket line is hard to see with the length of queues at the Acropolis and National Museum. If you don't get e tickets you could be standing in baking heat for over an hour like we did.
Having said that the Acropolis and the museums are amazing - the Greeks the friendliest people and the food delicious. Great for cat lovers too as they are all over the place and very entertaining.

Athens was everything we expected in terms of historical...
Athens was everything we expected in terms of historical sites to visit, and there were plenty of places to eat. IO Suites was clean and very well presented in a quiet area which was close to the Metro (about a four-minute walk to the nearest station). The 5-day Metro Ticket was super value and made it easy for us to get in and out of the central areas (Monastiraki [closest Metro Station to The Acropolis], Syntagma, and Plaka). A 3-day stay in Athens allowed us to visit the places we wanted to and then move on to Crete (although we also had planned half-days on arrival and departure days in addition which allowed us to maximise the Athens experience).
Evripidou Suites is wonderfully located in central Athens, within very close or easy walking distance to an excellent market and the Ermou Street shopping precinct. My room was generous in size, had lovely decor and was well sound-proofed, making it a real oasis in a potentially noisy central location. I had a lovely breakfast in the hotel's rooftop cafe, with an excellent view of the Acropolis. I stayed only one night at the end of my trip, but plan to stay there on my next visit to Greece and would highly recommend it to others.
This was such a terrific property that if we return to Greece, this will be our first choice in a place to stay. Norma, the host, is fantastic. She is a great communicator and did everything to make our stay fantastic. The apartment is well located and not more than 20 minutes from all the major sights. DO NOT RENT A CAR! Probably the best part of the apartment is the terrace. After a long day of sight seeing, relaxing on the covered terrace with a bottle (or 3) of wine was pure heaven. if going to Athens, stay here!
The location was wonderful. Close enough to the main squares and attractions of Athens yet far enough to be removed the rush of the tourists. Picturesque streets, with many restaurant and bar choices nearby.
Property felt safe, clean, and had charm.
Dimitris was a wonderful host and made our first stop in Greece well worth it. He was respectful, provided great recommendations for food and must sees as well as organized travel for us from the airport.
We just arrived from an early flight in Athens and wanted some rest before we started our travels in Greece, we therefore weren’t looking for a 4 star hotel but just a place to sleep and rest. This was perfect, great value for money.
- room was spacious, clean and tidy
- shared bathroom was spacious, clean and tidy
- good parking in the street
- place has some cafes right next to it
- good air conditioning in the room
- there is an iron board
A comfortable, modern, stylish and functional private upper-floor balcony property that is superbly located In Kolonaki towards the foot of Lycabettus and right amongst the many shops and restaurants in one of Athens' best areas and a short walk from the X95 bus route from the airport and the Athens Metro at Syntagma Square.
Ideal for singles and couples who don't fancy a hotel, this is basically a real find at a reasonable price.
Very good location and facilities but we loved the most was the excellent staff starting from George at the front desk when we checked in. We had requested an early checking because we reached the hotel by 11am. We got the room by 12. George even offered us a complimentary breakfast while we waited which was much needed after our long flight to Greece . Will definitely stay here again when we come back .
The hotel is Greek family-owned, and we were happy to support Greek people when visiting Greece. All staff were very friendly and eager to please. The hotel was perfectly situated in a quiet and safe area of the Plaka where we could rest without loud city sounds. While not fancy, the hotel was clean and very comfortable. We recommend and would stay there again
One more stay at Mitsis Athens Airport, as always everything ran smooth, with a warm welcome, well prepared and a clean room. Bed quality good, AC working properly, all amenities as always in order and useful. The breakfast in the morning as in the high quality hotels - perfect for a start of the journey. Plus the best moussaka in Greece, no kidding!
The BEST hotel in Athens without a doubt. The location is superb, come out the door and you’re in the street full of pubs and restaurants. Few mins walk to Plaka and Monasteraki. The pillows and bed are to DIE for. So comfy. The staff are so nice. Kept us up to date by WhatsApp and arranged airport transfers. Loved every second.
The location between the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum was perfect. And our courtyard room was quiet which was why I had booked it. (Many reviews of hotels in Athens complain about noise from local bars.) The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best we had across 10 hotels in Greece with many choices.
Dwell is located right off the main strolling street in Athens, in a great district. The boutique hotel is very clean, well managed, and breakfast in our room was delicious and served on time every morning! The hotel Staff were kind, caring and courteous always. A wonderful boutique hotel to stay at while in Athens, Greece.
This was a great stay for our time in Athens! It was close enough to everything that we had no problem walking everywhere we wanted to go, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The terrace and hot tub view of the Acropolis were simply incredible, and this was truly a highlight of our trip across Greece!
A warm and friendly, English speaking staff, clean, quiet hotel…excellent location (for going into Athens or traveling on to central & northern Greece.) Walking distance to a nice supermarket, 15 min walk to many restaurants. Very nice patio/porch seating for coffee or cocktails, in a garden space.
We loved this hotel:
The location is tactical for seeing Athens,
The staff at the hotel are really kind, really good breakfast (generous and made with yummy ingredients).
Our room was so beautiful and clean, best one we stayed in in our whole time in Greece. You won't regret booking this place!
perfect location for touring Athens sights. the room was great for a family of four, two adults and two older kids. breakfast was super with a good selection and the staff was so helpful. the rooftop lounge area was really beautiful also
this was a great start to our Greece vacation
Its location as it’s very close walking distance to everything you want to do as a tourist in Athens. We have been traveling through Italy and then Greece and this was one of the best air-conditioned we have had so far in the horrible heat of the summer.
Centrally located, yet quiet and peaceful. Lovely rooms with a good size. A definite air of the fifties which confers an atmosphere of a certain Greece. Very helpful and welcoming staff. And greatly located next to the two of the best Athens' wine bars.
Overall, this was probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in Greece. IT was an amazing location, beautiful and so so so comfy. The breakfast was amazing, the ruins, the turtles, THE ROOFTOP POOL/ RESTAURANT. 1000/10!
