Hotel Hiberia, hotel in Rome

Hotel Hiberia is just a quarter mile from the Trevi Fountain, and offers air-conditioned rooms with a flat-screen satellite TV.

The rooms was too hot and the AC didn’t cool the room. It was only 60ish degrees outside, but the room was really hot. Couldn’t open windows because of the noise outside. None of us really slept. It was also very loud with other hotels guests. I think we just didn’t have a good room. The hotel was in a good location and the staff was excellent.

Rome is a fantastic city break.

Rome is a fantastic city break. From the airport we took the coach to the Stazione Termini and then the metro and short walk to our hotel, on the way back we took the metro and train back to the airport. All routes of travel are cheap and efficient. Pre book your tours to the Vatican and Colosseum before you travel (we used Viator) this will save queuing. Any other attractions visit earlier on in the day or later on in the afternoon to avoid crowds. Castel Sant Angelo is worth a visit and has amazing views of Rome. Beware of scammers along the bridge who want to shake your hand and then will place a cheap bracelet on your wrist and expect you to pay for it! Also rose sellers, keep your hands in your pockets and your valuables safe!! The Colosseum and Palatino is fascinating as well as St Peters Square and St Peters Basilica. Our tour included climbing up to the dome and seeing the tombs. Loads of beautiful buildings and pop in to any church to have a look around. Restaurants and cafes are fantastic, slightly cheaper away from any main sites, just walk a few blocks away. Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain worth a visit but not peak time and also a bit underwhelming and touristy! Supermarkets are great to get souvenirs to bring home, lots of cheap different pastas biscuits chocolates and drinks! There are lots of cars in the city, be careful when crossing the roads!!

If you're going to Rome it's for the history, culture and food, all of which were fantastic. Because it's so popular it extremely busy so be patient, move slowly and soak in your surroundings. If you want quiet and solitude then pick a different destination. We some sights without any form of guide (book, audio or person) and I wouldn't recommend it. Stories really help bring the history to life, Oh, and eat Gelato, lot's of it, it will help you enjoy Rome even more!

Hotel Prati is within walking distance of St Peter Square, the bus stop is a block away, there are plenty of restaurants around, area is quiet at night , The hotel Lobby is quite small and can only handle small groups together, along with the luggage. Elevator is also small 2 people max. or 1 person with luggage. It works well. Rush hour and random narrow streets can be difficult to maneuver for foreign drivers. Parking at the Hotel is on the street, Public transportation is probably the best choice all around.

Amazing city with so much cultural and wonderful food.

Amazing city with so much cultural and wonderful food. Transport links are efficient and regular. Look for side street eateries as these are frequented by locals and the cost is much cheaper than in the main tourist areas. If you find a great restaurant see if you can book for your next visit as we were disappointed the next time we went as it was full and a queue to get it!! Avoid public holidays they are so busy.

The Room was well laid out and was super convenient to the Metro station, just steps away from the entrance. The bed/pillows were one of the most comfortable I had during my 2 week journey through Italy. AC was able to keep the room cold on a hot summer evening. And the washroom/shower was surprisingly spacious compared to the average Italian accommodation. Keep in mind this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel. But the room was was far from basic, and Rome can be expensive (even for hostels)

The bed was very spacious and very comfortable! I slept like a baby. It is also in the perfect location, right next to the station and has access to a lot of busses so it should be very easy to get around rome. The staff were amazing, specifically Jessica and Elvis, they made me feel very welcome. There’s a heatwave in italy so even after I have checked out, they made it very easy for me to rest in the hotel and even gave me towels to have a shower. Would definitely stay here again!!

The location could not be improved. Everything you could wish to see in Rome is within walking distance. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and neat. The hotel is quiet - remarkably so, given it’s central location. The breakfast is nothing special, but that is normal in Italy. The coffee and pastries are good - because for an Italian that is what counts. If you want an egg white omelette with non gluten toast you really are in the wrong country.

This is my first stay at any hotel in Italy and I can honestly say that the receptionist set a high standard, the check in process was easy and accommodating, recommending me her own personal favorite restaurants that aren't tourist traps and wow that made the trip really great, eating authentic Italian food is the best way to start discovering Rome. The rooftop for breakfast was fantastic, having some options to eat before walking around in Rome was helpful.

There was heavy rain in Milan area from.Oct 31 to couple of days, which left public transportation on halt, and road and street flood, but this hotel uncooperative on refunding my money that I had paid in advanced. Plus on top of that this hotel isn't providing any other option for customers. Once everything is on halted in milan italy then what my family and I would do, we cannot able travel any other places, which this hotel has hard time understanding,

The very best breakfast i have had in Italy, over the past 7 years of travelling around Italy. The hotel is a very well kept building and has a modern feel to it. The staff are all very helpful and especially the bar tender, who also oversees the dining area - Thank you. The location is not in the center of Rome and its a short bus ride to the nearest Metro station - but the busses & Metro are frequent and easy to use.

The staff can give you cappuccinos if you ask (as they aren't advertised). - Elevator was spacious. Most of the hotels in Italy have smaller elevators so it was nice to fit all our luggages at once. - Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was big.

The warmth of the staff was exceptional. The location of the hotel just could not be better for those wanting to be at the centre of Rome, Italy and the Universe.
