One of the world’s busiest and most populated cities, Hong Kong is best-known for its stunning skyline with over 1,200 skyscrapers and its “East meets West” cultural mix. With architecture and interior design influenced by feng shui and modern technology, this city is truly unique.
Hong Kong offers plenty of interesting city and thematic tours, ranging from cuisine-oriented, to architecture or nature. The latter is particularly fascinating as Hong Kong has many amazing mountain landscapes, marine parks and the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island is only a ferry ride away.
Kowloon is a busy urban center near Victoria Harbor, where ferries are an excellent choice to see just how tall Hong Kong's buildings actually are. Excellent tax-free shopping can be found in high-class malls, boutiques and street markets.
Hong Kongs’ unique cultural fusion is clearly seen, tasted and heard in the local food, like dim sum from Maxim's Palace or hot pot from street vendors complimented local Cantopop music in the background.

My former memories of Hong Kong include:
-cheap shopping.
-cheap food.
-great sights.
Today's reality:
-shopping is cheaper in other countries
-food prices seem much higher now
-sights are still great: Disneyland, Ngong Ping 360, Victoria Peak, etc
-city seems to be always changing which is a great thing.

It was a mixed business and leisure trip, so I tended to look for places to eat nearby. It's easy to find good food just anywhere. I wasn't able to visit the Peak or Ngong Ping 360 this time, but those are some of my favorites to go to when in HK.
Getting around HK is a breeze, the MTR stations are well laid out and easy to figure out.
I would avoid Taxis and prefer Uber instead, as the taxi drivers tend to drive pretty fast and you find yourself sliding left and right on the back seat. Also, the smell of the taxis isn't always pleasant.

We were transiting Hong Kong en-route to Sydney from from the UK.
Only managed a trip on the iconic Star Ferries (incredibly cheap) and a visit to the Peninsula Hotel Arcade (a must, especially for afternoon tea in a thoroughly enjoyable, decadent atmosphere).

Hong Kong people are rude in general, especially restaurants workers.
CHA CHAAN TENG, Hong Kong style cafe or diner, try to avoid those as 90%+ staff are rude and provide terrible services. Most of those cafes serve mediocre quality foods anyway. It has gotten worse in the past five years.
However, getting around Hong Kong is easy, either by subway or bus, and no need to go through security checks in subway.
Good location, easy to access using Citybus or Metro to nearby hotel / jordan MRT station and then a short walk. Near fabulous Nathan Road shops and then to harbour side. Within easy walk to Star Ferry terminal for cheap ride to Hong Kong Island and walk to Old Peak Road and up to Victoria Peak for those with the energy. Many places to eat, both in the old part of town one one side of the hotel and towards the East and South in modern shopping malls.
Largely younger clientele with independent get-up-and-go.
That was my second visit to the property and I was offered a free room upgrade, so I was very pleased. It was really quiet and spacious and I wish I could spend more time in there. It’s a good value property.
The hotel is modern and easy to find when you’re in the area. Let me remind you that the location is not central at all, it is the last stop of the Tuen Ma subway line and takes no less than 45 min or 15+ stops to get to Central Hong Kong.
The housekeeping team was very efficient.
It was my first visit to Hong Kong, so booked this hotel due to its location. Upon arrival I received a complimentary room upgrade with a Harbour view on 36th Floor. What a view it was. Come down the hotel and ferry to Kowloon was at short walk and I could see the fairy port from my window. Live music every night, a nice relaxing but busy lobby. Everything was at a walking distance. Staff very pleasant. I will for sure shay here again.
Surrounding environment is very nice! A large garden area in front of the hotel, make me feel very relax, the gym is very nice. Very convenient for food & shopping for necessities. A big supermarket & restaurants in just a few minutes, the light rail in front of the hotel, easy to get around Tuen Mum areas & it takes 3 light rail stops to access the west Kowloon train to go to the city, but not bad still👍👍
If there is one reason to like this hotel, than it is the splendid view on Victoria Harbour and further towards Central district, overlooking also Kowloon. Also, the room is rather spacious compared to many other hotels in Hong Kong. Furthermore, location is very near to the MTR.
Top floor bar has also spectacular views and friendly and efficient staff that really cares about their customers
The location was conveniently as the hotel is centrally located in Tsim Sha Tsui. Whether it was getting to Tsim Sha Tsui Station and East Tsim Sha Tsui Station, walking to Kowloon Park or enjoying a stroll by the harbor, I found it easy to get around.
The shower is powerful and hot.
The size of the room was good for 1-2 people. The bed and pillows were fine.
I really enjoyed the fact my children and I felt safe, in a welcoming environment. The hotel is in a good location and we caught the shuttle a few times which was extremely convenient. The breakfast was delicious and fantastic variety. The rooms bigger than most in Hong kong and were extremely comfortable.bmy children enjoyed the lolly cart between 6-7pm
The hotel is in a good location, short walk to the train station, and it's pretty easy to go to Central or Kowloon from the hostel.
There's loads of nearby restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores.
I found this pretty good value for money (but I guess prices fluctuate) and considering this is Hong Kong, I had a fairly large room that was clean!
Fabulous location just off Nathan Road and very close to Temple Street night market. Walking distance to the metro Jordan Rd also only less than 10 minutes in a taxi to Kowloon high speed train station. The hotel is new, rooms are very comfortable and the staff very helpful. Great value for money compared to other Hong Kong hotels.
Quiet room, comfortable bed. Price is reasonable considering its location, midst of Wan Chai and Causeway Bay, and Happy Valley is also within a short distance. The hotel has got free shuttle every hour daily, and bus stop right at the doorstep. Will recommend Cosmo to my friends.
The hotel, breakfast, staff and their service is just great. The hotel is nicely located in between Wan Chai, Happy Valley and Causeway Bay, Busses and metro are close by, and a lot is in walking distance. Dinner was served and delivered at your room during a typhoon:
Its location is fantastic, in central Wan Chai, walking distance to many attractions. MTR entrance is 20m away from hotel. Many pubs / restaurants nearby.
The staff is polite and helpful. The rooms are comfortable. Overall a great place to stay for a short trip.
If you want to visit the attractions in Lantau island along with central Hong Kong, this hotel is very well located. The free stuttle service makes it a perfect hotel. Both to/from airport to hotel and to metro station very well maintained.
The hotel is quite new. Room was clean and comfortable. For this price, it is quite roomy in Hong Kong. The cleaning lady was very polite and friendly. I forgot my headphone when I checked out and they found it.
Not much. I think this hotel is good value for money given how expensive Hong Kong is. The location is good, near Sheung Wan and not far from Central. They give you 2 bottles of water per day.
Great location and easy access to MRT station. The staffs were very nice and helpful, hotel had hourly shuttle bus to key location in Kowloon side. Onsite self service laundry was convenient.
The location, the room and the good service of the hotel's staff.. This was the hotel we stayed in during our first trip to Hong Kong and it was also a happy memory for us.
Nice place. Very clean and professionnal and comfortable. In one of the central areas of Kowloon. Near metro stations. Nice experience for a first time in Hong Kong.
