Sofitel Athens Airport, hotel in Athens

The 5-star Sofitel Athens Airport’is conveniently located 164 feet from Athens International Airport. It offers a spa and an indoor heated pool with views over the airport.

It was a great place to set up for our trip home from Greece. Only place at the airport. High dollar, but when you add in the convenience, the lack of a early morning taxi ride, and the stressless nature of all that. Good Value.

FAQs about hotels in Athens

Dynamic City With 3400 Years of History

With the Acropolis as the jewel in the archaeological crown of Athens, this city is full of history while embracing the future. Take a stroll back in time through the neoclassical streets of the Plaka, where you'll find tavernas serving tantalizing souvlaki and mousaka, street vendors and live entertainment.

A trip to the Parthenon and the Agora top most lists and can also be appreciated from a distance by walking along the Dionysiou Aeropagitou street, which is away from the busy crowds of the city center.

The changing of the guard occurs every hour on the famous Syntagma Square. From here, Ermou Street provides shopaholics with a fashionable retail sanctuary. The upscale districts Kolonaki and Kifisia are also bursting with fancy boutiques, galleries and bars.

Athens has some of the finest museums in the world, such as the National Archaeological, Acropolis and Benaki Museums. From Athens International Airport to the Port of Piraeus, this is a city bustling with the old and new. On Booking.com you can find everything from modern hotels to a room in a classical building.

    First impression, very busy .

First impression, very busy . Roads narrow and lots of graffiti and derelict buildings, but don't be put off by this. We found people very friendly and helpful. There are many places to eat and drink. It is easy to get around and you will meet many cats on the way, they are also very friendly and seemed to be looked after very well by the people of the City. You will also see a few tortoises around the acropolis. My favourite place apart from the Acropolis was the old cemetery.

spotless, beautiful, tasteful, comfortable, cute apartment. large balcony with endless sea view. The apartment has everything, everything you need to cook and enjoy your stay and swim in the wonderful beaches and pool that the property has. The nearest beach is a 3-minute walk away and is not very crowded. Everywhere there are beaches, deserted and organized. Also there is a parking space for your car as this is a big problem in Athens. I enjoyed my stay and will be back soon. Ioannis is an excellent host. Thank you very much Ioannis

Athens is a fabulous city with very friendly people and delicious food at very reasonable prices. There are many places to eat with good quality food and prices to fit everyone's budget. Accommodation can be a little more expensive than some places, and generally, they do not have the best internet quality. It is a very walkable city and the subway system is easy to use. There are ancient architectural sites everywhere which are well looked after and well-organized!

Athens is a beautiful vibrant city with so much to see and do. The historical buildings, museums, parks, lovely squares, art and shopping. The food is amazing and there are lots of vegan places from street food to high end dining. The older areas are fascinating with the flea markets and street stalls. Very good budget places to stay right in the heart of the old city. Great transport options. I recommend a visit of 5 days minimum.

We had a great time during our stay in Greece. Despite initial concerns about check-in, the process was smooth and easy thanks to the hotel manager, Dimitris, who provided detailed instructions and was always available to answer our questions. The room was small but clean, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped. The view of the Parthenon from the seventh floor was amazing. The apartment was in a great location, close to dining, shopping and attractions. We enjoyed walking around the city and seeing the sights.

A small boutique type hotel in a great location, a few minutes walk from Syntagma Square for the metro and airport bus, but also close to the Plaka and all the tourist sites. Our room was nicely decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. A small breakfast buffet is served on the first floor each morning with excellent coffee. For the price we paid, this hotel represents excellent value and quality - and we have visited Athens more than forty times over the last thirty years, so have experienced many hotels!

Nice apartment and in a very good position! We've been to Athens many times and we are happy with our choice. Great beds and very comfortable. Pillows are also comfy! The kitchen is fully equipped. Also despite the fact that in Greece the internet connection is not strong enough, this apartment provides a high-quality wifi connection. The check-in process is also soft and easy and the host allows us an early check-in. We will prefer it in the future for sure!

I stayed here a second time when I travelled back from an island to Athens on my last night in Greece. It was easy to get here from the port (1 train to Omonia stn) and then to the airport (1 train via Monastiraki station). They upgraded my room for me which was lovely and acknowledged that I had visited before. The staff are very friendly. It's a great price for my budget.
