We loved the hotel. Our room was quiet with two nice windows. The bed was very comfortable. The decor is somewhat formal yet updated. The bathroom was large with a good-sized tub and great shower. The location is fantastic: close to the Rialto Bridge and vaporetto stop yet tucked on block back from the Grand Canal. We arranged in advance to be met at the airport by a driver who took us to a water taxi. When the water taxi arrived at the Rialto Bridge, a person from the hotel was there to take our bags. We never had to lift our quite heavy suitcases. Everyone at the hotel was helpful.

Venice is exciting, brimming with culture, and like no other cities, the prices are in general reasonable, and people are friendly and helpful.
However, in order to have a good stay, you have to take the following into account:
The city was crowded already in April. I would not go in the summer, and avoid the weekends for a shorter stay.
It can be colder and more windy than you think. Bring some warm wind- and waterproof clothing,
Be prepared to walk a lot, otherwise it is difficult to see the things you want to. We typically walked about 7 km a day. Even if there are some signs of directions, Venice is labyrinthine. I used google maps, a high resolution paper map and sometimes a compass, and even got lost a few times. However, it also meant we found a place with wonderful italian ice we returned to several times.

I had a short walk from rail station to the hotel but had a heavy suitcase. Difficult walk due to my heavy suitcase and number of staired bridges and lack if google maps on my cell phone, I Highly recommend this for getting around although even locals I asked had trouble finding good directions, Weather was raining. Once I found hotel realized I should have taken a water taxi as it would have gotten me within 100 ft of the hotel.

Soo cozy accommodation, very polite personal, Sarah was keeping in touch with us during all our stay in Venice. The location is perfect, tou could feel that you are part of domestic Italian life, non tourists area will put you more into Italy. There is small supermarket near by ,cheap and great selection.
The apartment has smart lock that why it make your arriving time so flexible...
The bed was soo good I was sleeping as a baby after long walks in the city.
Yhank you soo much ! Will come for sure next time only to your accommodation.
Stephan at the front desk was amazing and ensured we had a great visit to Venice. He gave us recommendations on where to go, what to stay away from, and helped us with the train schedule so we could make it to our next stop safely.
The room was very clean and the view was just what I was hoping for! It is about a 2 minute walk to the train station and only minutes to major landmarks and points of interest. Overall, for my first visit to Italy, I couldn't be happier with our stay at Abbazia De Luxe!
Thank you Stephan!!
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOUTIQUE HOTEL, AND FOR FIRST TIME TRAVELORS TO VENICE IT WAS THE PERFECT LOCATION. IT IS IN THE HEART IF THE BEST PART OF VENICE, AND ALLOWS EASY ACCESS TO EVERYWHERE ELSE. THE ROOM IS BEAUTIFULLY SET UP, COSY, CLEANED DAILY, AND SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. WE HAD A SMALLER ROOM COMPARED TO OTHERS BUT IT WAS PERFECT FOR THE TWO OF US. THE STAFF ARE FANTASTIC AND HELPUL, AND WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ENSURE WE WERE COMFORTABLE. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN IF I RETURN TO VENICE.
This was one of our best accommodations on our Italy trip. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Venice tourism locales. Walking distance in minutes to the Rialto as well as St Marks sq. Most cafes and restaurants of repute within walking distance. The hosts communicated well. The apartment can best be described as elegant. There were cookies on the hall table and bedside tables which was a nice touch. Air-conditioning was vital in the humid Italian heat. Perfect for a family.
The breakfast was the best one we had in italy , it is carried up in baskets together with juice coffee and fresh warm croissants and bread ! Amazing. Totally did not expect that at all. The staff is also extremely kind to us. We were allowed to stow our bag in the hotel so we could explore easier the last day. Which helped so much since venice is full of stairs and carrying bags can be troublesome. The bed was very soft as well.
One of the better looking and equipped apartments during my whole stay in Italy. Very well located, close to the train station which servers also a stop for water trams - very convenient way of getting around in Venice. Apartment is on the small side but more than enough for a group of 2-4 people. Very clean, very new and with perfect hosts answering any type of questions and giving a lot of great tups.
beautifully restored building amazing floors very friendly family run B&B with the best breakfast we had in Italy. Fresh bread and pastries cold meats cereals juice strong coffee… we were amazed by hosts hospitality. left bags on our check out time and explored more and picked them up to walk back to the train station.
If you are wanting to come to Venice this is the place for you .
All was better than expected: modern look, but not cheap; excellent breakfast; located in the heart of Venice, easy to get to and from anywhere. Bed super comfortable. Water taxis leave you and pick you up right in front of the hotel. Oh, the terrace bar! It's worth going for an aperol spritz to enjoy the amazing view, one of the best in Venice, I would say.
We like the location so close to train station. Everything in venice are within walking distances, so the further we have to walk is to the piazza san marco. Which the walk itself is a pleasant experience. In the morning breakfast room we can have coffee of choice and small packed bread which are common in italy. Also staff are all friendly
Location is excellent, just a few minutes from Rialto. Communication with a host was very efficient, he gave good tips on Venice. The apartment is clean, has wonderful rooftop view, lots of daylight in the rooms, good beds. We travelled around Italy and this was the best apartment we had.
The rooms were clean and inviting, and were bigger than we expected after staying at other cities in Italy. The courtyard outside the hotel felt nice when walking to the hotel, something different and unique for Venice. There morning breakfast and service was great to start the day.
The best stay of our trip to Italy! Beautiful, extremely charming hotel right on the grand canal with a terrace over looking the Rialto bridge. Easy to walk to everything but also away from crowds. The owners and staff were incredibly gracious and attentive. Simply the best!!!
The staff was wonderful. So helpful to this lady traveling alone, who had never been to Italy before. They were terrific. The location in Venice was ideal. The room was a little small to move around in, but had everything I could want and was very clean.
I traveled with my daughter, the Monte Carlo was our favorite hotel during our entire Italy trip, the room was spacious, the bed was comfy, the staff was wonderful, and the breakfast and coffee was delicious!
The location was great. The hotel was super clean. I would highly recommend this hotel. The service / staff was superb. Hands down best hotel in Venice italy.
Beautiful and cozy hotel in the heart of Venice. Great location, breakfasts are a little meager, but these are the features of Italy..)) Perfect stuff!
