The area that we lived in - Haven Avenue is a new area with new buildings in an old industrial building area next to a trailer park and opposite the Porsche showroom for the area. It is great for its space, but not so great without transport (You can uber/lyft, but it can be expensive)
There are no eating joints around but postmates, doordash and uber eats deliver. Although I think that the choice was limited given the location
This is our go-to hotel every time we travel for our business, visit our children at Stanford, our own Stanford reunions. We always feel welcomed and treated so graciously. I was a little surprised at the removal of the morning complementary coffee. When I asked the manager behind the breakfast bar, he seemed offended and didn't explain the policy change. This was unusual for how friendly the remainder of all the staff! Love the cookies, love the hospitality. Unsurpassed location. We'll be back.
i had an extended stay at the Hotel Nia during Covid, and during the summer when the pool was sublime. the location is wonderful and close to Palo Alto and Menlo Park, if you have a car you an get anywhere quickly. There was no food except dinner so i had to order in groceries and lunch but it was fine, the hotel staff was pretty awesome considering all the requirements for cleaning and mask wearing. So happy this hotel was open and let me bring my cat to stay :)
Excellent place to stay near Stanford University. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped, the breakfast is excellent (loved the waffle machine). Staff very friendly and helpful. Weather was great, so I walked every morning to Stanford University, about a 40 min walk. Shops and city center are about 10 min walking from hotel.
The property seemed secure and clean, but not user friendly. The location was not accurately described, or what I expected, and should be labeled East Menlo Park or Redwood City so people know they will be staying in an industrial area far from dow town Menlo Park.
Beautiful hotel, lovely terrace and breakfast cafe that served delicious food. Staff were super friendly and always happy to help. Rooms refreshed and new water bottles provided each day, super comfy beds and robes in the room. Couldn’t fault it I had a great stay :)
Love the breakfast options, really helped my stay as my husband was left alone while I was in surgery at Stanford hospital. Chose this hotel for its proximity to the hospital. Stayed 2 different stays a month apart, will stay again when I go to Stanford.
Very nice little cottage. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. It was very beutifully furnished and comfortable. It is in a really quiet location reasonably close to downtown menlo park and sharon heights shopping center by car.
Nice little hotel with great, helpful staff. Not to far to walk to downtown and Stanford without the high price tag of closer hotels. Breakfast was good and there were little patio areas outside your room or sitting areas round the pool to eat..
The cottages really exceeded my expectations and is a real gem in the Palo Alto area - really had everything I needed and the staff was amazing. Breakfast was amazing- I would highly recommend this boutique hotel-
This place is amazing! Everything! Location, rooms, staff, cleanliness! It was so nice to have our own patio. The most amazing hotel! Highly recommend! Will stay there every time I’m in Bay Area.
Location was great as we were exploring Silicon Valley and the Bay Area. Leafy suburb, quiet and a plus to have complimentary parking. Overall great hotel.
