The place itself is fantastic. Its away from the beachfront but backs onto a river with some great views.
I stayed in the Riverfront suite, and its impossible to reasonably find fault.
Once booked in, it was an absolute pleasure and I will re-use on all trips to the area.
I bumped into the owner on leaving and he was v appreciative of the feedback, which I believe he will address.

I grew up in East London & completed my schooling there. Very family oriented city with lots to do, beautiful beaches, sporting activities & several shopping malls with a variety of shops & restaurants.
Exceptional ocean view from the balcony (if you pick balcony room). Business DSTV package with a variety of channels including full sports package. It's near the Port so you can see ships coming in and out. If you are lucky you can also catch a view from your balcony of whales breaching. It's very quiet. No noise around the hotel and guests also keep the premises quiet. No one bothers you. Everyone minds their own business but you can get assistance from staff when you need it.
My first review on Trip advisor was positive - due mostly to the location. My 2nd, recent review on Trip Advisor reviewed the hotel without referring to the sea and the river. Frankly, without the location, what does the hotel offer? Does it merit a 4-star rating? Comfort at the Blue Lagoon is expected, and for both stays, was delivered. This hotel may not offer 'luxury', but SOME attention to detail will improve client experience/ expectations of a good 4-star hotel.
I truly enjoying staying at the Premier Hotel in East London. It is a magnificent hotel. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very comfy. The balcony is an add delight to relax and watch the ocean and catch the sun setting over it. As all my stays have been 1 night stop overs, I unfortunately haven't made use of the restaurant or spa.
Such a lovely/friendly host. This lady is a true gem! Even gave my husband and I Easter eggs on Easter day 😊
Loved the privacy and how clean everything was. Thanks Michelle we loved staying with you and will definitely stay with you next time we find ourselves in East London!
The view was perfect, and we were allowed to use the kitchen to make our dinner. The place is central and my kids loved the swimming pool and Netflix and Showmax. Will definitely make it our regular go to whenever we go to East London.
Great value for money - clean, tidy and quiet. Lovely and safe suburb and close to shops and mall. Would recommend to someone needing a few nights accommodation in East London - was booked for guests attending a wedding.
They only put 1 towel 😔
There's no wifi
I wasn't told about the dining hall .
I wasn't told where was my room. I had to go back to them to ask as it was my first time at the Hotel. Enjoyed my stay anyway 😌
The spacious rooms with great Seaview. Big open windows to enjoy the breeze. Easily accessible parking and restaurant facilities within walking distance from the hotel. Great staff at reception.
I loved the fact that it was clean, secure and the staff was excellent friendly and willing to help on request. Definitely know where I'm staying next time I'm in East London 🙏🏽
Exceptional Service. They even prepared breakfast packs for our 4AM Departure!!!! Unprecedented!!!
Thank you to the team that hosted us!!! Will return when in East London!
