My 2 night stay in Tours has extended to 2 or 3 weeks because of my husband’s hospitalisation. The staff at ‘the People’ have been very caring and extremely supportive in helping me with my difficult and changing circumstances. The friendly atmosphere around the bar in the evening provides a friendly and homely atmosphere. I couldn’t have hoped for more. They have been wonderful.

It's a small but very nicely run hotel. I'm not sure but I think that when I was there that I was the only guest which I think caused the managers some difficulties (it was out of season - end of February). The two guys who run it were super friendly and helpful and there was a really nice breakfast. It's also really well located near the main street with the tram. And there are lots of nice restaurants nearby, including a Lebanese one almost next door. It's probably not the sort of hotel to go to if you like hanging about in the hotel all day as there isn't really a lounge or foyer. It's just bedroom and a breakfast lounge, but great if you want somewhere overnight and a stopping off place for visiting the area.

Tours is a nice walkable city. The 'old town' is picturesque and the more modern side has lots of shops. Lots of bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from. There are lots of tourist attractions including gthe cathedral of course. Also there is a large tourist office with helpful staff to help organise day trips to Chateaus etc. Transport links are very good with a station close to the city centre.

It was very easy to find the hotel, even though it was in the middle of the city. The hotel sent directions in advance of adjacent underground parking which was a real help.
We recommend La Plume Blanche in the Place Plumereau

Beautiful cathedrals and a charming city centre, spread out...
Beautiful cathedrals and a charming city centre, spread out along the Loire river. The trams and busses are easy enough to figure out. The brochures describe the 'gastronomic' experience that awaits, but that must apparently be researched and booked in advance. Strolling around the old medieval streets without a booking, we found more kebab shops and bars than gourmet restaurants, but perhaps we were in the wrong place.

Tours is a fantastic vibrant town with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. It was our second visit and we’ll definitely be back.
We stayed at Castel Fleuri which is a ten minute walk away and is exceptionally good.
The staff are very welcoming and provided us with a map of Tours which was great.
I would not hesitate to recommend Tours as an overnight stop to break your journey or for a longer stay to explore and enjoy.

Tours was a wonderful city with a lively night life, historic sites and lots of high quality wine and food at every turn. There was very little car traffic in many parts of the old city, so walking around, is great. I’d love to go back and explore more.

I choose Tours as a base camp for exxploring the Loire valley up and down by train and bike. This did work out, just beware of the train schedule. It is very sparse except on weekends. Tours itself turned out to be more attractive than I had expected.
This is a true luxury hotel. The new rooms (which cater for dogs @20Euros) are large and have a kitchenette, the rooms in the chateau are large and full of character. The spa/pool complex is free and the gardens charming. The restaurant is working hard to re-gain the Michelin star that was lost when Crest took over. Tours centre is a 30 minute walk and is full of attractions.
This is not a cheap place to stay but is worth every penny.
The hotel is in a good location and has several parking spots, which really helped in this area because parking on the street was limited. It was about a 20-25 minute walk to Place Plumereau, the lovely square that is one of the main areas of Tours. The owners are friendly and helpful and gave us a lost of information about the city, nearby restaurants, etc.
The property looks exactly like the photos and as described. It's centrally located and within walking distance to Tours town centre (5 mins to hôtel de ville, 10-15mins to old Tours). Good sized balcony for breakfast in the sun ... and for drying laundry (we were lucky with the weather). Access to the nearby parking garage was super convenient.
This was my 3 time in this hotel
everything about it is amazing
the friendly family stuff
the always helpful and friendly
the location in the heart of the old center city is the best
everything is near by walking a few minutes
the room is comfortable & clean
but i suggest to have a small fridge and kettle
The hosts Cyril & David were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast has an amazing selection. The place itself is very welcoming, clean and with a stylish decoration. The location is perfect in the downtown center of Tours. Few minutes 30 min car ride to the castle of Chenonceaux! We will come back!
The hotel is located near the train station and it is close to the city centre. Room was quite spacious, with enough storage space. Breakfast was good for a shorter stay, because even though the food tasted really good, there were not that many options to choose from. AC and WiFi worked really well.
The apartment was crystal clean, well furnished, and extremely well placed at the heart of Tours.
The process for doing the check-in and check-out was well explained andit didn't take too long to get into the apartment.
In summary, we highly recommend to stay at this place.
The location was perfect, in the very centre of Tours. It was also fairly easy to find free parking for the night around the hotel and we were also offered to get a discounted spot in a guarded parking closeby. The room was nice and the beds very comfy.
Perfectly located in the centre of Tours, wonderful restaurant just outside the hotel, but if you wanted to walk a bit a number of restaurants near by. Opposite corner of the square is a great craft beer place, very engaging staff!!
The breakfast was very good, plenty to choose from. Room was clean and slightly larger than we have had at other budget hotels. Very good free parking.
As far as budget hotels go, we thought this was one of the best we have used.
The hotel was located well for a stop over on the way to Spain, rooms are clean & modern and are quite sufficent for a 1 maybe 2 night stay. We were travelling with a dog so dog friendly was a bonus too. Free parking 👍
Excellent!! A furnished apartment at a high level that has everything in the city center of Tours, close to the attraction and best restaurants, with privet parking. it was great to saty and we will back again.
Excellent hotel in central location with parking and very strong wifi signal. The bonus was freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast which was served in a lovely courtyard.
Best hotel we stayed in on whole trip. Lovely Reception staff, convenient location and comfortable room. Great bar/restaurant again with friendly and helpful staff.
If you get on site parking and like to be in city centre this is by far the best hotel in Tours.
