Mysore is a gem of a city in India. The weather is usually much less extreme than other places in India. The people are friendly and there's lots to do. The palace is beautiful (especially on Sunday night when they light 10K lights for an hour), the catholic cathedral is very nice. The sacred Chamundi Hill is a must! Nandi Bull is on the other side of the hill and carved from a huge boulder. There is also lots of walking places and the Deveraja Market must not be missed for spices, flowers and lots of inexpensive interesting items including incense and jaggery. There is also lots of tailors, jewelry shopping and Mysore silk shops. The Southern Star is a great hotel there.

Mysore is my favorite city in India: it feels rather quiet, spacious, clean and a good atmosphere.
There is good food, southern Indian is my fav’ nice coffee, the beautiful maharajah palace and beautiful architecture, add the holy Chamundi Hill, both for an aerial view of the city and worship of mother Durga

This listing is obviously in India.
This listing is obviously in India.
I can't understand why it's listed with Booking, com as Jugglers Rest in Picton.
It's most confusing!
When you ring the contact number it's in India and the person that answers is very hard to understand and barely speaks English.
Personally I don't think Booking.com should have the property listed at all

I arrived at mysore by train from Bangalore and didn’t get to my hotel til around 13:30. Hotellier kindly provided a map and marked on it local places of interest, thinking this would be too late to visit the palace I went to the aquarium. The best thing about it was the entrance - makes for great photos.
Walking (with the aid of good old google) I came across the palace and couldn’t resist going in. Just 100inr - same price for everyone. I didn’t have to queue for more than a few minutes for a ticket at that time of day but there were still orderly queues getting around inside. I had plenty of time before closing at 17:30 so I achieved my purpose for visiting mysore earlier than expected.
Shoes are not allowed inside the palace so I’d recommend socks as 10s of thousands of people visit every week. The sheer opulence of the palace is something I’ve not seen anywhere else. I didn’t stay for the daily palace light show as I was tired out but I understand it’s quite something.
It’s not somewhere you’d find fine dining but the hotel I stayed at had a restaurant very nearby.

GOOD PLACE TO VISIT.
GOOD PLACE TO VISIT. WE LIKED THESE PLACES SUCH AS CHAMUNDI TEMPLE, MYSORE PALACE, ZOO, VRUNDAVAN GARDEN, MIRROR MAZE AND DEVARAJA MARKET. THE WORST PLACE IS WE HAVE VISITED DOMAINE SULA WHICH WAS ON THE WAY FROM BANGALORE TO MYSORE.

We really loved Mysore but the problem with Mysore is that there are not any luxurious hotels there, which is why we booked the Radisson Blu. We wouldn't normally stay in a Radisson Blu on holiday, but it looked like it was the best hotel in Mysore and actually it was fine, although of course it had quite a "chain" feel to it. The location was good and the hotel was clean & comfortable. Abdul (the concierge guy) was super helpful and very efficient - thank you!
This place is the perfect fusion between price and comfort. The hotel is located nearby the Mysore Palace (15 minute walk) and most of the other sights are also a short drive away. The room is comfortable and the shower is great. I have to highlight the staff, including Mahesh and the security man (which I sadly don’t remember the name), they helped me so much with the bags and tuk-tuks! I’d definitely stay here again.
Neatly maintained rooms. Many cable channels available. Quiet place (all 3 days i was on client calls and no outside disturbance). There are many shops available within a few metres from the hotel. Easy access for people coming from outside, just near the ring road. You can walk around the place in the evening, there is a good amount of walking space available around the hotel.
Excellent hotel! Nice staff and very helpful with things to be seen and visiting, especially the Dasara and arranging a driver to Bangalore airport for a good price!
Good food, even we were ill, they helped us very good
Breakfast lovely waffles and omelettes, small choice
Quit place in a very busy Mysore. With autoriksja good travel into town
Well English spoken!
The Rooms were dusty and the bed linens quite old, after highlighting, they were replaced. Staff cooperative, hotel looks good but the cleanliness of room and the bed/pillow covers needs attention, older towels. TV channels never worked, parking could be a problem if you arrive late. The facility has only space for 3 cars. Rest need to park on road side.
Good Features: Very spacious hotel, with a huge lobby and dining hall. Landscaping in the hotel, greenery and the walkways are good. Plenty of parking space available. Rooms are spacious. Location is good and in a residential colony, peaceful away from the busy roads' but you have to walk almost a kilometer to reach the main market area.
This is a great quirky hotel ideally placed in Mysore to visit the palace and the zoo. The rooftop pool was a welcome place on a hot afternoon. The dining was fabulous with good tasty food options. The design of the hotel is very interesting. Room was nice, quiet at night and had a very comfortable bed.
At last minute the receptionist asked that the booked apartment is not available and gave some alternative hotel rooms which we did not want. I was with my family on a weekend with limited other options, so had to find a stay outside Mysore.
The staff were polite and professional. The ambience of the hotel location was so peaceful. The buffet food in the restaurant was good for the price you pay. Overall, if you're a family visiting Mysore, try this hotel for a pleasant stay.
One of the best hotel ever stayed in mysore very good professional staff express check in at front office, very neat and clean rooms good perfumed. Everything is very quick I recommend this hotel for upcoming travelers just loved it.
Property is a Homestay located in a peaceful layout of Mysore , Mysore palace is around 5kms and it can be covered in 10mins , this is not a hotel or lodge .. perfect for family , you can order food from Swiggy and enjoy your stay .
Accommodation is good for Mysore standards. AC was not cooling well. Hotel food was good in quality and quantity. Sugar-free was not available in the hotel.
