It was my first visit in Canada , and my first NHL game in Toronto .
The apartment is on the 48th floor, next to the Scotiabank Arena.
Toronto has a great transport system as you can take not only the subway and tram but also the train to wherever you want to go by taxi, so it was great.
What I didn't know was that Toronto has a secret life, and that's the areas under the buildings where let you walk all over downtown, unaffected by the weather. This area is full of restaurants, cafes, boutiques and other shops.
CN tower was really highly, scary but the view from there was beautiful.
Niagara Falls ohhh was beautiful and powerful.

Ate on Dupont Street - lots of casual places with character. Transit very easy to navigate. Coffee and gelato excellent at Mizzica's. Would not bother with Hockey Hall of Fame - far too corporate and NHL -oriented.

It was over 40 years between visits to Canada and my first time in Toronto, it did not dissapoint. Toronto is a big city and you are spoilt for choice with where to stay. We stayed downtown as it was close to conference venue. You will want to spend time exploring the different neighbourhoods and if you get time, I would recommend a tip down to Hamilton and to Niagra. All serviced by the clean and reliable GO trains from Union station. Cose to the city I recommend walking through Kensington Market - which is a district rather than a market. On the weekend this place is heaving. You have a pletohra of great restaurants and a people watching paradise. Closer to downtown, a walk along King and Queen streets will reward you with street art, quirky shops, some of the best vintage stores I have been in and food options galore. Can also recommend a wander through Chinatown (Between Queen St and Kensington Market. The Distillery District is worth a look if you have time. The old distillery makes for an interesting backdrop to new residental buildings, shops, bars and restaurants. The UP trains from the airport (Pearson) to the city are your best option to get into the city. Around $12 and about 25 minutes - well worth it and a lot cheaper than taxis and Uber. Enjoy!

I am no stranger to Toronto as I worked for The City of Toronto at Toronto City Hall for 40 years. Toronto is an exciting City to visit. It’s so clean, the people are super friendly, there are so many different types of food and restaurants to enjoy, so many wonderful attractions to visit - a trip on the Ferry to Centre Island is a must during the warm summer months, the Aquarium, take in a Toronto Blue Jays game, walk to St Lawrence Market. Visit beautiful Nathan Phillips square anytime of the year. Make sure to spend a day at the Toronto Zoo too.!!!! Go to The Pint right across the street for a pint and some delicious food and hang out with all the Blue Jays fans!!!!

I particularly liked the waterfront parks, the Luminiere exhibit was lovely.
CN tower was so-so, but the Aquarium was excellent. The Princess of Wales Theater is a lovely, contemporary theater and the production of Les Miserables that I attended was fantastic. Food very good - particularly at Vagabondo Italian, and Dessert Lady coffee shop.
What I liked is that the subway nr. 1 is literally under the hotel and you can get to downtown Toronto in ab. 40 minutes (to Union station for ex.) without the need to change to another line.
The room is nice and comfortable and there is a Nespresso machine with free coffee in the room.
I also liked that there are plenty of food options nearby (Greek fast food, pizza, Subway, Starbucks, Asian food), a local supermarket Loblaw is next door, so you can do your shopping easily. There is also a cinema close.
I was intrigued by Hotel Ocho's fantastic location in Toronto's famous Chinatown and was not disappointed by the experience. Check-in was fast and efficient and hotel staff was a pleasure to stay with. This is a relatively small boutique hotel and the atmosphere is friendly, clean and modern. Comfy bed, excellent shower and a surprisingly quiet setting that almost made me forget I was in downtown Toronto. Walking distance to many great shops, restaurants, bike rentals and the TTC.
It was so clean, the bathrooms were really beautifully updated! It was 15 minutes from downtown Toronto and close the the TTC if you prefer that form of transportation! Breakfast was good & open early enough on the weekend that we didn’t have to wait to eat/sacrifice complimentary breakfast to get our tourism on. Traveling from the US and I just really appreciated the convenience of everything the hotel offered. We are sure to come back next time we are in Toronto!
The room was extremely spacious with large sofa, writing table and kitchen sink area too. The room was very clean, there is a very large flat screen TV too. It's perfect for family of 4. The hotel provided free breakfast with hearty selections. On certain days, there are somebody doing the omelette for you too. The gym well maintained and clean too. This is by far the best hotel I stayed thorough my 14 days stay in canada. Highly recommend for stay near airport.
The staff at the desk and restaurant very helpfull and polite. Providing us detailed attention and recommendations. The shuttle is very convenient for the Airport Breakfast varies from day to day and gives us the extra we didn't expected. We stay back at this hotel and would certainly recommend for a stay in Mississaugua. Petro Canada gaz station and convenience store just next door and bus stop at the street if you choose to take the Toronto transit .
Second time staying here. The room is small, but what else to expect in such a central location downtown. Enough room to fit two Queen beds, a dresser, a desk, and a small bathroom. Amazing to have the pool -- want to return in the summer for the rooftop patio! Staff were very friendly again, breakfast buffet excellent and cheaper if you book it upon check-in. Will stay here again because it is by far the best value in a downtown hotel I have found.
For the location (45min drive from downtown Toronto - It takes a while to get to downtown from anywhere) this was a low price - you will pay a lot more for a chain hotel anywhere near here. This property on the face of it isnt very far from the centre. Pradeep is a very generous host - a real gentleman - and very keen that you get the most from your stay in Toronto. It was satisfactory for the 2 days we were staying in Toronto
One King West is very centrally located and right next to the Metro Station. No other property around downtown offers such big rooms in general. The hotel has good restaurants which are open late in the night. The property has limited options for breakfast, but there is a cafe within the property with excellent coffee/sandwiches. One King West is a must stay if you are planning to cruise around downtown Toronto.
We stayed at embassy suites by hilton near Pearson Airport for our first night in Canada. The free shuttle bus was great and meant it was so easy to get to the hotel and also to pick up our hire car the next morning.. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and breakfast was great. We are planning to return before our flight home.
Clean room and bathroom. I stayed in a king bed room with a patio, that was really cool. Room 848. Patio was the best part, it faces College Park Ice Trail. It was cool seeing people skating all night. Price is really good for downtown Toronto. Parking is easy to use, the entrance is in front of the hotel.
Great location, right by Donlands subway station which gets you to Downtown easily. I stayed in the bunk room in the little apartment at the top.
Lovely, friendly staff, clean and good value for money. I stayed at 3 hostels during my time in Canada and this was the best one - thank you!
This is an exceptionally beautiful hotel in downtown Toronto. I went to stay the weekend with my boyfriend and our stay was perfect. The staff was so helpful and kind and the lobby is absolutely gorgeous. Beds were comfortable and clean l, would definitely stay again.
As a repeat visitor I have become friends with some of the staff. I like the sense of a home away from home. Having a small refrigerator and microwave in each suite is very unique for a downtown Toronto hotel. This is great for cold drinks and small meals and snacks.
The hotel is in downtown Toronto offering access to public transport nearby as well as stores and places to eat just a walk down the block. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and clean. The staff were very friendly and quick in response.
Customer service top notch and Luxury room was amazing. I have stayed at various 5 star hotels in Toronto and to date this was the best overall experience. And the room had great CN tower view -
Just loved it
Hotel staff, ease of parking in the garage, bed, tv channel selection, location. The location was also quiet which surprised me considering the noise that would come off a major Downtown Toronto street.
Hotels in Toronto are expensive and the Alexandra used to be pretty reasonable. Now it is quite over priced for bare bones accommodation. It is in a good location for downtown.
The hotel was very clean and has amazing views of downtown Toronto. This hotel is also close to everything downtown making it a easy walk down the street.
