Before travelling to London, I thought it would be dirty and unsafe, but I was so wrong! The city was far safer and cleaner then cities like Victoria, BC, that's for sure. There is soooo much to do here and so much personality in the different personalities that one will run out of time far faster than out of things to do. Alas, one will also run out of the money just as quick. Coming from Canada, I found London to be ripping expensive and the only way I'd go back was after winning the lottery. Maybe for those who have six digit jobs would have a different opinion.

Manteca restaurant next to the hotel is lively with amazing atmosphere/staff and delicious small plates highly recommend booking necessary. Finished off night at Blues Kitchen live soul jazz music, fantastic DJ set from 10pm. Rooftop at hotel is lovely, managed separately so you will have to pay rather than adding to room bill but no problem. Comfortable beds. We had breakfast at the Bike Shed a 4 min walk from hotel which was very good. You can also have 2 for 1 cocktails 5-7pm weekdays at the Bike Shed before meal.

Shops and all similar places are very expensive.

Shops and all similar places are very expensive. First of all, you should look at several options, because just a few meters from one object, you may find something a few pounds cheaper, which can be significant for you in the end. Also ask for the price of the product if it's not written on or next to it because you might be surprised (plus ask for the receipt so you don't think it's a scam because London is a really expensive place). We had a very hard time finding specific coffee that is served in Croatia and nearby places, for example in cafes - we only found it in a restaurant. Also, chocolates of a specific size were not available in all places. In any case, the city is huge and very connected by subway and everything you want can be found.

It is looking a bit shabby compared to before Covid.

It is looking a bit shabby compared to before Covid. It is also less safe and you feel this in the evenings. Whilst we were there there were several knife attacks, there were several demonstrations, the traffic was bad to start with but became impossible with the demonstrations. It is no longer a world leading city, I would suggest other places in UK would probably be nicer. It really needs improving and some decent leadership, very sad to see. :-(

London has always been a bucket list destination, and it did...

London has always been a bucket list destination, and it did not disappoint at all. Getting around London, and to/from the airport was so simple and stress free. This was a short trip to see musicals, and they were great. The Novello Theatre was beautiful, but unless we could get box seats, we would not go there again. We had a very hard time even seeing the stage due to the way the seats are. Everyone in front of you had to lean forward to see, which made it even harder for those behind, especially those of us that are short, with tall people in front. We did not have this problem at any of the others. Waterstones bookstore was across from hotel, if you love books, you want to go there. We mailed books to our family in the U.S., they received them 2 days later. All food was great, all over, so we cannot highlight just one! We didn't see anything I would avoid on this trip, but will be going back for a much longer one later in the year. We would reccomend allowing PLENTY of time to get to Stansted flying out, the passport/visa line was very slow moving. We always anticipate this could happen, and we were fine, but there was so many in front of us that did not allow enough time, and missed their flights. I felt sorry for the agents working the line/counter, people were not being very nice to them, instead of owning their own lack of due diligence, and moving on, I am taking 2 out of every 5 with flights leaving in 5 to 15 minutes, and they still had to check in and go through security, expecting staff to wave a wand and get them on a flight that had closed gates already. Check your travel, make sure there are no strikes, so you have a plan!! We flew into Luton, so I am not sure, but I will say that Stansted is nice and has PLENTY to occupy your time while waiting for your flight.

I really enjoyed this hotel when I stayed there for three days several days before. I went off to the southwest of England and returned to the Sloane Square Hotel for one night as I had an early flight back to New York. I had an excellent room that overlooked Sloane Square but was very quiet. Great staff at the front desk that warmly welcomed me back to the hotel. This is a "real find" in an excellent location in London. I definitely plan to return.

The apartment was exactly as in the pictures, spotlessly clean, new, well equipped and incredibly central located. The staff was always super nice and professional, smiling and welcoming. 24h reception service is a very appreciated extra, considering the "only apartments set" of the hotel. Of course, it is not cheap, but it has not to be, in order to provide this high service standard. TLS definetely became my londoner residence for the next trips.

The location is perfect for easy transportation into London or to Heathrow and Gatwick airports by all means of public transport. Having stayed many times by choice we love the intimacy of a smaller boutique hotel and the friendliness/helpfulness of all the staff from reception (front and office) to cleaners and Maintenance.Being very dog friendly is an exceptional bonus. Location, price, cleanliness is a big one! I've stayed in the cheaper hotels in London and they have been horrible. This is the execption. Keep up the cleanliness and fair price. Stayed in a single room that was equipped with a proper desk (not always the case in London's hotels!). Breakfast is a good one and the location as well (easily walkable distance to Soho and subway station 50 metres from the front door). The location was extremely convenient for connecting with the Heathrow express, and a good price for London. The bed was comfortable, and the bedding was actually unusually soft for a hotel room. We found the sound of the tube (which seems to run under the hotel) rather soothing, like a periodic thunder storm.
