One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.
The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.
The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.
Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.
The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.
Boston is a great city - not too large to be overwhelming.
Boston is a great city - not too large to be overwhelming. Driving in the city can be difficult, at times, with a lot of one-way streets and many impatient drivers. Taking the T and walking is a better way to navigate. Ubers and Lyfts are readily available.
The duck boats are a great way to get an introduction to the city. Boston Common is beautiful, especially this time of year, and the new MLK sculpture is neat to check out.
jm Curly is a cool bar and grill with mostly American fare. We enjoyed our meal there. We really loved the South Street Diner! It has excellent food and a wonderful waitstaff. Perfect place for brunch.
During our stay we checked out the Auschwitz exhibition and recommend this experience. It is here for a short period of time.
We also took in the musical, "Hadestown," at the Wang Theatre which is across the street from the hotel. This was excellent.

First off, we are from a small town in middle Georgia and Boston can be overwhelming for country folk like us. Those more acclimated to big city life would probably be comfortable navigating the city and more able to enjoy what it has to offer. We found our way to our hotel with minimal difficulty and even ventured out and found great food for dinner. We were there as a stop over between Cape Cod, Logan airport and home but would liked to have seen some of the historical points under other circumstances.

I come to Boston mostly for work (excellent science), but also really like the city. I love running along Charles, and a lot of nice places in North end to dine or have a cup of coffee. Lots of museums/attractions. The city is above average noisy, but it is also very charming and has something for pretty much everyone.

Boston is a terrific city - good people and a wide choice of quality restaurants and wonderful history. I particularly enjoyed a walk through the grounds of Harvard and the Freedom Walk (which takes several hours but takes you through the city from Boston Common to Bunker Hill). I recommend doing the audio tour for $9.95USD. It stops and starts along the route by using GPS - great information. I also recommend Falafel King (you'll find it on the Freedom Trail route) - delicious, fresh grilled meats, salads in wraps. Their baklava is the best I've ever eaten.

People are so rude.
People are so rude. I'm a born and raised Masshole and a transplant southerner. I should be used to it.
However, when you're away from it for so long (5 years), you don't want to deal with it and find it disrespectful.
I almost got into a ton of fights:
Getting road rage from walking behind stupid people that feel the need to walk super slow (when there are appointments to get to) while they desperately feel the urge to take up an entire sidewalk. Can't walk on the street, I almost got run over more than once by cars not caring if you're in the crosswalk, they still come right at you. Some stopped. But not many.
One lady stepped off the T and immediately stopped to check her phone right outside the doors. Blocking everyone else from exiting the train. I had a few choice words for her.
It reminded me of why I left that horrible state of Massachusetts.

We loved our stay at the hotel Revere.
We loved our stay at the hotel Revere. The room was spacious, nice big comfy beds, nice city view and location of the hotel was excellent in walking distance to most sightseeing and public transport if needed. We dinned at the hotel restaurant a few times and enjoyed the food. We also had a couple of drinks in the bar. In general a very pleasant hotel and there's free coffee or tea in the lobby❤️there's also a rooftop restaurant but it was closed for the season when we stayed. We would love to stay here again next time we visit Boston
We booked the Revere because we wanted something a little more boutique-y than the usual business hotel. The rooms were quite large and well decorated. The hotel’s location was great—close to Boston’s major landmarks. We very much enjoyed drinks and appetizers on the terrace, and good restaurants were nearby. We had a good breakfast in the hotel too. We really liked Boston—clean streets, nice people, and not hordes of homeless. And you can rent a car from Enterprise right in the complex. Congrats to all!
Pros: LOCATION - Back bay is beautiful and quiet and close to everything. We took the Amtrak to Boston and walked to the hotel! A lovely park across the street, and Copley place is filled with beautiful gardens. Ate at great nearby restaurants. Traveled with a 10 and 12 year old, they slept on the pull out. It's not a separate room, but a dividing wall. This was fine. More privacy than a typical hotel. Tiny kitchen was perfect, bathroom was nice. We stayed on the 3rd floor - we don't mind stairs.
I absolutely loved its fantastic location! Back Bay is generally a lovely area, but this is perfectly situated near Newbury St, the River Esplanade, and the beautiful, beautiful parks of Boston. Boston Common? Sure! You can walk from The Colonnade just fine!
Staff’s superb and lounge area is LOVELY! It’s also pet-friendly and it is absolutely amazing as they don’t charge a pet fee. There is parking available and you can have in and out privileges if you get it from the hotel.
This is the third time I have stayed at the Lenox Hotel in the last 10 years when visiting Boston and the primary reason is its location. For me the best part of Boston is the Back Bay Area and no hotel is better place to experience this. A short walk and you can experience dining and shopping of good quality in the nicest part of Boston. The hotel staff are always helpful and there is a feeling that nothing is too much trouble.
A really stylish hotel with comfortable rooms and bed. Very friendly staff who welcomed us warmly and made check in very easy. Concierge were very helpful including calling taxis for us. Room was cleaned every day upon request, which adde d a bit of luxury to our stay. Lovely complimentary snacks and coffee. Also great to have a large fridge in the room. Great location so we could walk almost everywhere in central Boston.
Great bang for your buck. Really cheap for a weekend stay at a major city. Even though you're in the outskirts of Boston, you can get to downtown really easy. The hotel has a shuttle service that takes you to the Train station 2.5 miles away. From there you can take the train anywhere for only $2.40 per ride. There's a grocery store within 10 minutes walking in case you forgot something or want save on food costs.
We liked the hotel location and positive staff attitude. The breakfast was very good with high quality items and fresh fruits (best hotel breakfast we had in all our month long trip). We also liked that the hotel had free covered parking that was easily accessed from the main road.
The rooms are pretty, although small.
The hotel gives good value for money for this Boston area.
The location of this hotel is one of the best if you are looking to stay close to Boston Common. It's beside so many shops, coffee shops and other many attractions. The plus for me was the attention and the good customer service. I would definitely recommend to stay in this hotel again and I would love to come back to this place.
great location in the middle little Italy. bed ultra comfortable. five minute walk to downtown and underground rail. manager Patrick super helpful and available from 9am. excellent coffee shop right opposite for great Aussie style coffee and breakfast fare. would stay again here in this boutique hotel when next visiting Boston.
could not be in a better spot! walking distance to everything downtown, close to all subway lines, tons of places to eat and a lot of good spots, parking is right down the block. hotel was very clean and staff extremely nice especially Karla. would def stay here every time we go to Boston.
I appreciate location
1-you have shopping centre behind the hotel
2-10 minutes walk to metro station
very useful we don’t need to use a car
in boston downtown the parking is expensive and hard to found
3- private parking 20$\night
the less expensive i found
Close to the airport with a shuttle bus service. Metro into Boston about 5-10 minute walk through the park opposite the hotel. In room facilities pretty good. Breakfast was included and had a good selection of hot and cold food.
Location is lovely on the water and easy walk from Quincy market and many of the downtown sights. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. Good value versus other Boston hotel rates. Easy access to the water taxi is a plus.
Best hotel I stayed in my USA trip. Big and clean rooms, amazing breakfast, nice bar service. The staff had been all the times polite and kind to us.
Amazing position. Not cheap, but it worths all the money
The location was great. Loved being really close to downtown. Was able to see many of the Boston attractions by just grabbing a quick Uber. The hotel also allowed us to check-in very early at around 9am.
The hotel offers a nice breakfast, the rooms are quiet and provide a convenient shuttle to the airport. It's also within a mile's walk to catch a ferry to downtown Boston.
Luxurious casino hotel on the Mystic River. Lots of amenities and a great casino. Rooms are beautiful. Rates are good. And a nice amenity is free ferry to downtown Boston.
Breakfast was nice but little bit expensive.
Rooms were exceptionally good.
Staff friendly and professional.
Location of hotell is very good in downtown Boston
