Las vegas is good for shows, nature, gambling, gluttony.
Las vegas is good for shows, nature, gambling, gluttony. those that want to show off, criminals and thugs, very rich ostaentatious people, or those that are or pretend to be the creme of society. I hate it. Nasty, low class people. Around the strip anyhow. Lots of good hispanic culture in the burbs, and some bad facets of it too. There's something for everyone, but it's not great everywhere. best example of nasty part of USA culture. sorry to be so direct, but that's how I see it.

The casinos are so freaking noisy!
The casinos are so freaking noisy! At one point I heard a Karaoke singer, a DJ, piped in music and of course, all the machines at the same time! The food is extremely expensive. Slot machines are tight! I'm done with Las Vegas

We spent as much time exploring off-strip as we did on the strip. Each held unique experiences and I wish we had more time to see more shows and to visit more places.
On strip:
Blue Man Group & Mystiere we the shows we saw, both were excellent and wish we could have seen more Cirque de Solei shows.
Visited the Belagio to see the fountains, the conservatory and the chocolate fountain.
Visited Ceasars to see the Forum.
Off Strip:
Parked and enjoyed the Sphere. (Outside only as there was a concert event while we were there.)
Walked the Historic Railroad Hicking Trail (Starts by the Lake Meade Visitors Center. Goes 2.2 miles to the old millworks. Should have stopped there and walked back as path was nice and flat, easy hike for beginners. We continued from the millworks down to the Hoover Dam, another 2 miles. It started at an easy level and moved to a moderate level except when you reached the last part, just past the powerlines when you reach thebpaved walkway down to the new garage...steep is an understatement!! It may be paved, but it has to be close to be a 45° grade!! I highly recommend walking the 2.2 miles and headding back to the visitors center, then driving down to Hoover Dam.
Walked accross Hoover Dam, can't wait to see the new visitors center when it is complete.
Drove the scenic route at Red Rock. Each time I visit I fall more and more in love. The scenery is georgeous and just a short drive outside the city. Each time I visit I find new improvements: more/better parking areas off the scenic drive, new/more educational signage, path markers and detailed trailhead signs just to name a few.
Visited the Spring Preserve, a nice little gem tucked away in north Las Vegas. Beautiful gardens, a pretty little butterfly house, well otganized exhibits abiut the plants, history, geology and conservation efforts for the area.
We only stayed for five days and could have easily filled another five with more activities!!

The bathroom had mold in the tile and the wallpaper was torn with mold on and underneath. With the hand held shower head it was not helpful trying to hold the onto the grab bar and move the shower head to rinse. Not very clean bathroom, with the shower curtain getting all wet at the bottom the bath rug got all wet and didn't dry fast enough to use again.
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in my life!!!
The staffs were first of all super super super nice. The room itself was very spacious & clean. It had everything I needed. The bathroom was really nice! The toilet and the shower were separated. I loved the bathtub but it was a pity that I didn't have time to use it actually :D.
I loved the pool SO MUCH!
The location was perfect as it was not in the strip but also not far from the strip. It was very quiet.
I would like to stay here next time when I visit Las Vegas!
This hotel has to be seen to be believed. It's huge and there's so much to explore. We loved visiting the Venetian landmarks like St Mark's square and the Doge's palace! We had the most basic room and it was luxurious and made for a really nice stay.
If you're happy to eat at random times, you can make the most of happy hour deals. We had some of the best food for much cheaper than we were expecting to pay. We loved having a breakfast burrito at Canonita's and aperitifs at Brera.
Everything was very clean and everyone we interacted with seemed to actually like their job. Very nice staff. It was nice to be in Vegas and not have to walk through a smokey casino on the way to your room. Concierge was helpful when we needed a wine key. This hotel is considered off strip but it’s no longer of a walk to Las Vegas Blvd than any on strip hotel. The pool area was very nice as well. There was a bus stop about a quarter of a mile away that we used daily.
Fantastic hotel in downtown Las Vegas. Huge room, very comfortable, with a balcony and a great view of the surroundings. Just a few steps to the heart of Vegas. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, although located in the center. Breakfast is only available on selected days of the week, but this is not a problem - you can get it in the neighboring hotel. Definitely worth recommending.
Very nice hotel in Las Vegas downtown. Room as well as bathroom was very spacious, clean and comfortable. There is a proper casino in the hotel so you can enjoy it very easily. Hotel also offers many discounts for the quests. The only challenge - yet of course not related to the hotel itself - was the fact that hotel is located quite far away from Las Vegas Strip district.
This Hotel was one of the best I have ever stayed in all of my travels, when I come back to Las Vegas this will be my place to stay. my family was comfortable and ever morning we were greeted with Good morning by the staff, there was a great gentlemen named Daniel who so polite throughout our whole experience. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!!!!
We we're looking for a place to conveniently stay the night while passing through Las Vegas, not for the entertainment of "The Strip". Getting from car to room was quick--not a major hike like the mega-hotels on The Strip. Also very quick to get to from I15. This was ideal for us. That said, the location is pretty close to The Strip.
everything you needed was at your fingertips. so much to do right at the hotel if you didn’t want to go anywhere. it is the first hotel on the strip but it was easily accessible to the other hotels and the main strip. we did not rent a car and did most by Uber and it was cheaper. they also have a free tram service.
Very good choice for Las Vegas when u come by car or plane and don't need to stay on the strip. Close to the strip somehow. Free parking. Easy travel with the bus to a lot of stops on the strip and back. Just 10 min. walk from the hotel to the South Strip Bus Terminal. Bus ticket per person 8 usd a day.
Central strip location is probably the best in Las Vegas. The hotel is attached to mediocre casino. Reception is small and not always staffed. There are no other facilities you would normally associate with a hotel reception. You get what you pay for.
Since the location of the hotel is away from the Strip, the price of the room was really cheap. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, even though it was a hotel in Las Vegas. Hotel receptionist was very friendly and kind.
AFTER we were able to change rooms the location of the room in the resort tower suited our needs. The rooms are average size for room is Las Vegas. The location of the hotel was easy to get too but not central on the strip.
The room was big and comfortable, the bed was comfy. The location of the hotel is close to all leisure places - just on the Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas. The staff was helpful and the stay overall pleasant.
It was near a lot of stores and restaurants and not too far from Las Vegas (20 minutes). But if your are looking to be near Vegas you can find a better option with cheaper rates than this hotel.
Great Hotel / Casino with an excellent location when staying at Downtown Las Vegas. We have stayed at the Plaza several times and is our #1 choice for us.
