Sydney Mater Hospital. The Harbourview was a most convenient place to stay with the train station situated very close to the hotel.
On our many previous visits the Harbourview was an ideal location to stay to visit all the beautiful places in Sydney.

We live 2 hrs train ride from Sydney so visit a couple of times a year. It is always a fun weekend. The harbour of course is spectacular. We always go to the theatre to see a play or a musical, there are several venues, all amazing but the Opera house is special. Shopping is amazing, a roam around the historic Rocks area, botanical Gardens, darling harbour recommended. The Art gallery is excellent along with the museum next door. Catch a ferry anywhere. Eat at China Town. Then catch a train down to the south coast to explore NSWs spectacular beaches or a bus to the Blue Mountains.

We went to Grease at the Capitol Theatre and & Juliet at the Lyric Theatre and both were amazing. We had late night dining at a Thai Restaurant in Little Hayes St and a Korean restaurant in Chinatown both lovely. We had High Tea at the Hyatt Regency and it was beautiful. Sydney is a wonderful cosmopolitan city.
Sydney is a wonderful cosmopolitan city. Great food, good coffee, lots of walking so take comfy shoes, I wouldn't bother with Taranga Zoo, animals in enclosures far too small, a really depressing environment so wished I'd missed that out. Great trip to Manly on Ferry. Nice northern beaches. Opera on the waterfront was superb. Lots to do in Sydney and always busy. Opal cards to get around were brilliant. Public transport is second to none. All in all a great place for a visit. However, booking.com was super hard to get hold of when on arrival in Australia the trip started to unravel with no driver to collect us from airport and when we did finally get to our accommodation under our own steam, the accommodation was abysmal and ruined our entire trip being subjected to the rude lazy staff at veriu camperdown coupled with the issue of getting hold of anyone in booking.com to help sort it out. Once they have taken your funds about a week prior to arrival its too late. No one is interested after that. Felt helpless. A horrible experience that I'd never want to repeat. Will never book with booking.com again. Too risky for service.
This hotel is extremely well-located - close to the new light rail system and the train system (for the airport), shops, restaurants, the Royal Botanical Garden, the excellent art gallery, etc. - and just two light rail stops to Circular Quay (for the Opera House and the Rocks). It's a heritage hotel, and has so much more character than most modern hotels. We were also pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was, given its CBD location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is really nice. It may not seem it by photos i.e. put off by the sink in the room, but it is actually a really good room. The bathroom is quirky, but the shower is really nice. The beds were really soft. The airport is about 20 mins away via public transport which is easy to catch from the hotel, and the CBD is about 30-40 mins away via public transport. Easy as. KFC and McDonald's right next door for late night feeds, can't go wrong. Cheap and nice location.
When you want to be in Sydney but not in the CBD this is great. Good transport links to city via light rail (tip get off at Randwick and walk down Belmore Rd). The hotel is a beautiful old terrace full of charm in a leafy street opposite park with all mod cons. Staff were lovely and, on a really hot day, we were delighted to receive an upgrade on arrival to a room with air-conditioning. Much appreciated after we got off at the wrong light rail stop (see above!!)
Lovely staffs! Couldn't be a better experience!
Best customer service you could get in CBD hotels. I've been to backpackers to high end hotels, but staff wise, this place was 5star! Every staff was helpful. Jandro and Pear were helpful and seem to remember every customers! (And all the other staffs were so helpful, extremely friendly!!!)We had such a pleasant time throughout all the stay, thanks to them!:)
We got a surprising complimentary breakfast as well.
We needed a family room due to transit. The apartment (self-catering!) Was great: very clean, large and cozy, kitchen including dishwasher + good equipment, washing machine + dryer, very good beds, 2 bathrooms, top soundproofing, balcony, great location to the airport (we did not need shuttle offer) and supporting and friendly staff. It was one of the best hotels we had on our 3-week AUS-trip. Price-performance was also right.
Highly recommended!
I've always like the location of this hotel. I used to stay here when it was branded as another hotel chain - it very close to everything, and the food options plus a supermarket close by are an attraction for me. The rooms are a little dated and basic but clean and the beds comfortable, which is a little more than I expected for the price. Good value for money in comparison to other CBD hotels and the Reception staff were helpful and friendly.
The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is literally next to the Green Square train station which made travelling about Sydney and to/from the airport so, so convenient. The rooms also have mini kitchenettes with sink, microwave, mini fridge, cutlery, mugs, glasses, bowls, and plates. I was able to walk to a nearby Woolworth's grocery store and stock up on food for the week.
Excellent location - short & easy walking distance to Darling Harbour / ferry wharf & Crown Barangaroo, within moderate walking distance to Circular Quay & Opera House via Observatory Hill Park or Argyle Street, close to CBD shopping. While contact with staff was limited they were helpful and obliging. The expressway above the building did not present any noise issues for us.
What an incredible hotel! Everything was flawless - from the room and abundance of towels to the warm greeting, impeccable service, and exquisite decor. Having stayed in hotels globally, I must say this experience was truly outstanding, especially considering the great value and convenient location. The availability of a shuttle bus to the airport was the cherry on top!
Spacious room and large comfortable bed. Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff who were quick to quieten down noisy neighbours late at night. Reasonable price in relation to upmarket hotels nearby. Within a few minutes walk of all the action in The Rocks, harbour and harbour bridge climb.
Right in the middle of the CBD, a few minutes away from Circular Quay, Opera House, QVB, Darling Harbour. There are also tram and underground train stops nearby, including easy connection to the airport. Breakfast was good normal continental one. Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable and clean.
I've stayed here several times. Price is competitive and the included breakfasts are still better than other hotels in this category. It's close to the airport and to some nice restaurants near the train station and a big supermarket.
The view was amazing and the location was so easy, train from airport -to hotel was so easy.
facilities and food were great and staff were very helpful.
Can't fault the place and will be returning for all future Nth Sydney trips
The hotel is very well-situated near the Sydney domestic terminal, making it an excellent choice when departing early from this airport. The hotel itself was clean, quiet, and modern. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Perfect location, close to townhall station and the cbd. Fantastic room with good facilities, I was really impressed. A bit dated in places compared to some of the big hotels. I would recommend this hotel and visit again.
Very convenient for early departures from Sydney International airport. Spacious, clean and well appointed rooms.
One of the few hotels at the airport that has a reasonable restaurant and stays open until 21:30
Most reviewers here like the fact this place is close to Central. While it is true, it is also true that nearly all Sydney hotels are located within CBD and fringe suburbs, so it is hardly a selling point.
The location was great and the room was very good. The check-in and checkout process was fast. There are 2 Novotel hotels nearby in Darling Harbour. This one is the smaller one compared to the other one.
the team from booking to checking out were above our expectations with the best customer service experience I have had compared to 5 star hotels in Sydney CBD
