There is a nice onsen (hot spring public bath) that was relaxing. The hotel was located close to a laundromat and Shin-Osaka station, which made travel easy. They also have washing machines at the hotel, but they were usually in use (we did go during the busy hanami (flower viewing) season. Room cleaning is done every three days unless requested. They place a bag with clean towels and yukata on your door the days they do not clean your room.

At the meeting point of river and sea, huge Osaka combines forward-thinking development and sure-footed tradition. This is symbolised in its temple-like, 16th century castle, guarded by ramparts and enlivened by vibrant spring cherry blossom. Dominating the surrounding skyline is Osaka Business Park, a reminder of the city’s strong role in the Japanese economy.
However, the most striking skyscraper is the Umeda Sky Building - 2 towers connected by a rooftop terrace offering far-reaching views. The nearby Osaka and Umeda train stations are linked by underground shopping centres, while the shops of Shinsaibashi’s America Village appeal to a younger crowd. Dōtonbori’s neon lights promote more shops, as well as restaurants considered the best in Osaka. In a city touted as Japan’s culinary capital, that’s quite an accolade.
The Tsūtenkaku tower overlooks Tennōji Park, home of the Osaka Municipal Museum of Art. Another nearby park houses Shitennō-ji, one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples.
The Kyocera Dome Osaka is a shrine of baseball, and more thrills are at waterfront Universal Studios Japan, the country’s 2nd largest theme park. Also by the sea is Kansai International Airport, on its own artificial island.
The capsule hotel was invented in Osaka, and alongside this type of accommodation, Booking.com also offers luxury hotels with pools, cheap hostels and traditional ryokans.

Osaka has a lot to offer: short day trips to lovely cities (Kyoto, Kobe, Nara), nice sightseeing in walkable distances, huge shopping areas and a lot of activities to book!
The botanical garden has a Lightshow you don‘t wanna miss (but of course not always).
Tip: go and slide down the tower of Tsutenkaku- I loved it!! (1000 Yen)
The metro is easy to use and you could also book (electrical) bike vis Luup (app).

A perfect entry point towards the south of Japan and easily accessible to all other destinations in Japan and the Osaka castle and proximity to Kyoto was the logical decision to make Osaka our base upon arrival and departure.

Osaka is a wonderful city, more navigable than Tokyo with a more laid-back vibe. The amount of day trips that are possible could fill sever weeks - as well as Kyoto, NARA, Himeji and Hiroshima, give Kinosaki Onsen, Kurashiki or Mount Koya a try.

More compact than Tokyo, but still loads to do. Food and drink the main draw.... USJ worth a day (get there 90mins before opening time - download the app and set up party before arriving). KIX airport is a WAY out (like NRT in Tokyo).

Coming from Tokyo, first impressions were not the greatest as they are vastly different. But after spending the next day on our walking tour with Masa and exploring Osaka more - we absolutely loved it!
The park around Osaka Castle was my favourite place for seeing the cherry blossoms in full bloom!
The room was large with excellent facilities (including a kitchenette and washing machine). It was immaculately clean with a lovely and modern interior decoration, and fantastic view of Osaka. The free amenities were also great (as is standard in Japan). The hotel lobby also had a fantastic view. The hotel is also within walking distance of Dotonbori but far enough away to not be impacted by noise, which was perfect. The price was also very competitive. I will definitely use this hotel company again.
this is the second time I visited Osaka, and the second time i stayed at bespoke. and I love this hotel! the location cant be beat, just around the corner is the osaka subway and a couple of blocks walk brings you to shinsaibashi shopping street which leads you to dotonbori, namba, and other interesting places. and the hotel itself is very nice! the aesthetics and lighting are on point.
The hotel is so big - and offers free drinks too. The location is in the Center of Osaka and it’s also near the train station. I walked to Dotonbori every night. The rooms are really big despite the fact that in Japan the rooms are a little small. The breakfast was very nice and offered a variety of things. The staff was polite and helpful. Totally recommend this place.
Centrally located hotel in Shinsaibashi neighborhood close to the shops, Dotonbori, Namba, train and subway stations. However, not noisy and calm hotel area. Breakfast is huge, Japanese food and options and I really liked it. There are all amenities you need as a traveller in the room and additionally available at the registration counter. Highly recommended.
The actual hotel looks better than the pictures. Room was a bit small but that’s normal in Japan. Bed was comfy and amenities were of great quality.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Osaka and a fair walk to the train stations. A Lawson minimart is just across the road. All in all, a fine experience at The Rise and would easily recommend this hotel.
Beautiful place, big rooms compare to other hotels we stayed in Japan. Best breakfast we had that changed everyday and all staff speak English pretty good. I especially appreciate the small towels that were at the lobby to help with sweat during the hot days and were free. Also next to the river for lovely evening walk and very close to the Osaka Castle.
This is a newly refurbished hotel that’s a couple of minutes from the east exit of Shin-Osaka station. Super clean and comfortable. Highly recommended for easy access to the Shinkansen or remote work (they have a work desk and plenty of outlets). Room is a bit bigger than the average Japanese business hotel. Will definitely stay again.
This was our favorite hotel in Japan. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The room was spacious. It felt like a mini apartment. We also did laundry! The breakfast was amazing. They cleaned the room everyday. We were very close to the Namba station. I would totally stay in this hotel again when I go back to Osaka. Would totally recommend.
Since 2006, have been staying Toyoko inn hotel when i come to japan for my work. At this price, there nothing much to pick on....Seriously, i can say that the breakfast is pretty good and there is bus service to Osaka Umeda station. Travel to all tourist spot is accessible with public transport. My family love staying in Toyoko inn!
Spacious room compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in Osaka. Clean and comfortable. I love the bed and the linens, they are of high quality! They are very attentive and thoughtful. The walk from station to hotel is around 10mins, but you can cut through Namba Parks or Namba City so it’s still convenient. The staff are nice
First trip to Japan, discovered that if your hotel or accommodation does not include a natural onsen (hot springs), you are missing out. Stayed in two Dormy Inns in different cities, and both were excellent. Sounds ridiculous, but I sometimes visited the onsen twice per day... Oh, and the Osaka Dormy has free popsicles!
My favorite hotel chain. :) As with all Henn na Hotels I’ve stayed in so far, the Shinsaibashi one is great, too:
- Affordable
- Quite spacious, bright room
- Easy AI check-in process (human staff is available too if needed)
- Helpful and friendly staff
- In the heart of Osaka, near Dotonbori
Very clean and new hotel in Osaka Namba station. Simple breakfast with Japanese miso soup and rice ball etc.
Very neat to Nankai rapid train station. Osaka metro exit 24 is the nearest exit to hotel. There is a elevator near the Starbucks cafe leading to an office building besides Lawson
This was a great hotel to stay at in Osaka. The staff were incredible and helped at every opportunity to ensure the best stay possible. Would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family going to Osaka, Japan. Looking forward to staying here on our next visit to Japan.
Was unstaffed so not a good first hotel if just arriving but we knew that. Very close to dontonbori. Walked everywhere with a toddler. Very quiet. Everything you need. Kitchen, washing machine, secure. Go to the spanish/japanese place AMAZON OSAKA across the road.
The location was great. Walking distance to dotonbori and shishaibashi. Walking distance to nightlife as well. Will definitely stay again when I come to Osaka again. Price wasn't that bad, considering that hotels are pricey In Japan on weekends.
Nice and clean hotel, away from busy side of Osaka station, and still close to public transport. Complementary food and drinks during certain time of the day. Tea rice porridge was a good food tasting experience of western Japan.
The room is spacious compared to other hotels in Osaka. The bathroom is fully equipped with shower and bathing tub, not the smallish compact bathroom commonly seen in Japan. The front desk is friendly and helpful.
