Nagoya's not like your other big cities in Japan (like Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Fukuoka). There aren't many standout sightseeing spots or the like, so it might feel a bit dull if you are expecting those. But it is an excellent city to vibe in. Enjoy Japanese culture on a more relaxed - less touristy - way.

Nagoya has a lot of cool areas and walkable zones. Less than some of the more touristy cities in Japan, but definitely worth visiting and exploring. Lots of tasty food and the district near my hotel was actually really pretty despite being more industrial than commercial.

We didn’t have much time to explore Nagoya as it was our starting point to travel to Shiroko for the Formula 1 race at Suzuka Circuit (Thurs- Sun) We did see a lot of Nagoya Station as we arrived & departed from there, walking to the apartment on arrival and back to the station on departure. It was an easy walk, not busy with many pedestrians until nearing the station. We went to the mini marts (7 Eleven also) numerous times for food and drink which we carried home. Also had meals at several of the restaurants nearby. A great location and wonderful accommodation! Would highly recommend.

Nagoya is a city without too many visiters compare to Tokyo or Osaka. It's just perfect for us to visit. It has lots of sightseeing places, like legoland, wild animal park, shopping centers, etc. We will revisit this city in near future.

We stayed near Nagoya station so all sort of stores and food stalls are available. We love the transportation system as always, (Japan got the best). We like the day tours we booked to Takayama and Shirakawa-go, also Nabana Nosato.
Easy to navigate, not so crowded, quiet place and of course safe even for solo lady traveler.

We liked the food, restaurants are everywhere with variety of choices, from ramen to yakiniku to curry. Shopping is also okay although limited shops but overall shopping experience is okay. We almost could not fit all in the luggage. It is also easy to go around. You can just walk or take the subway. We were there during New Year, most shops are Closed.
I stay for 3 nights for standard double room (non smooking):
(+): Staff speak english very well. The room is very simple without bathtub which is not really important for me. Close to the Nagoya station (JR line, Hirokoji side) (500 m ~ 5 or 7 mins walk) or 300 m from Kokusai center subway station. I like the concept of the hotel: saving water and energy to planting one tree per minute in the world. Such a great hotel!!! Ohya, the room service clean my room everyday and give me a new slipper everytime they clean it up.
Near JR Nagoya Station, maybe around 5 minutes walk. Staffs are really nice and the room is clean when we arrived.
They also kept our luggages after we have it delivered from our hotel in Osaka until we arrived to check-in. They have a self checkout so if you need to check-out early, you can do it yourself if there are still no staffs in the front desk.
Lots of amenities and microwave available in the lobby. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash smells really nice! Big bathroom, bigger than the standard Japan size.
I like the hotel in general, the location was great, close to Nagoya train station which facilitated the travel to Osaka and Tokyo for instance. The staff was kind and welcoming. The quality of food at the breakfast was good and I appreciated the tranquility of the restaurant, you could wake up and have your breakfast in peace.
We also appreciated the possibility to leave our bags at the hotel after checking out, that saved us a lot of headaches because we brought really big bags with us. Thank you so much!
The location was good. Only short walk to the subway station and only one station away from Nagoya Train Staition. The parking was free which was the main reason why we chose this hotel in the beginning. We requested the rooms to be close together but the hotel did not provide that. However, the hotel asked us to pay extra if we would like the room next to each other. So we did pay extra. This means that the rooms were available but they just want to charge extra.
Location is best feature of this hotel: it's less than 5 minutes away from Nagoya station and various local train lines, plus it's literally above a giant department store with all kinds of shops (there's an amazing supermarket just in front of the hotel elevator on floor B1). My room was pretty spacious, with a very nice view on the trains. The hotel looks overall a bit dated, but like it used to be fancy in its heyday (which I liked)
The hotel was a 5-10 min walk from Nagoya station, and there were a few Lawson Convenient Stores around the area. The hotel staff was okay. Toiletries such as skincare and bathrobes are placed at the lobby for you to take daily. The room was small and didn't have much space to walk once I opened my luggage but it's okay since I spent the day out most of the time. The bed was quite big for a single person in the room.
it is about a 9 minute walk to Nagoya station. their smart TV shows a live feedback on the status of the laundry machine. so we get to know if any of the machine is available or the amount of time left for our washing to be done in the comfort of our room. the room is quite small for 2 adults and 2 children but this is a business hotel and in city centre so we should not expect the room to be very big.
We'd specifically chosen to stay at the Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower for its train station views and oh my gosh it didn't disappoint!! We were mesmerized looking out the windows!
The room itself was very comfortable and quite possibly the largest hotel room we've had outside of a ryokan, we all agreed that we would jump at the chance of returning!
The location of the hotel is located just across the road and a few meters away on a straight road from Meitetsu Nagoya station's central gates. Hence, it is very easy to get to and from Centrair Airport. The receptionists cannot speak English, but thanks to Japanese hospitality, they always go to arms and legs to help in any way possible.
The hotel was located near Nagoya station and connected by an underground mall which was really handy to walk to the station when it was raining. We visited for the F1 so it was great to be close by Nagoya Station. The staff are brilliant, super helpful and the room is comfortable with some nice amenity touches,
The stay was excellent and the hotel is at an excellent location, 5 mins walk from the station. The staff are friendly and the room had everything one can need for a comfortable, smooth stay. The Wi-Fi was also super fast. Highly recommend APA Hotel for any visit to Nagoya.
It was a great Hotel near Nagoya Station. It was a bit of walk but it faced on the Main Street and easy to find. Bed was comfortable and pillow bar was great. I traveled Kyoto and Tokyo this time and I want to book Sanco hotels in my next trip.
this hotel is so close to Nagoya station and above the underground mall which was handy as it was raining the day we stayed. The hotel has a fun yet relaxed vibe and nicely priced for what they offer.
The property was conveniently located right across from the Nagoya station. The bedroom. was bigger than most Japanese hotels . The breakfast was really good and the staff was extremely helpful.
It's easy to get to the hotel from Nagoya station. Twin room was more spacious than I expected (though I stayed alone) The room was nice and clean. I will consider to stay here again next time.
The Hotel is very comfortable and across the road from the Nagoya Train station. There is an underground walkway from the hotel to the train station for rainy days. Staff are very helpful.
Very convenient hotel and shuttle buses from the hotel to Nagoya station. Even without the buses. The location is not far from the station. The free breakfast is an bonus.
Good hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast service with very pleasant staff assistance. Great access to Nagoya station and good food nearby.
The beds are really comfortable. You have a spacious and very clean bath. You will get a LOT of towels! The hotel is just a few minutes away from Nagoya Station.
