Monterrey is a beautiful city with lots of things to see and do in and around the city. The Macroplaza is the cultural center of the city and there are many restaurants, museums, shops, and locals walking around the area. The Antigua area is across from the Macroplaza and there is the old part of the city with the Monterrey Cathedral and lots of shops and restaurants as well. On Saturday and Sunday the Antigua area has a few very good local flea markets. Also, Monterrey has a great subway system called the Metrorrey and its really easy to use and a very cheap way to get around this great city! I highly recommend Monterrey for any tourists who want to get some great Mexican food and culture that is only a 45 minute flight from Houston and a 3hour bus ride from the border. VIVA MONTERREY!

Monterrey is a very large industrial city with horrible traffic. Pollution is bad, and its not really a nice place to walk around. City is growing and there was a lot of complaints about trafic but we did not had any issue with it. The city offered good amenities like Luztopia, shoping, and had the 2 college football semifinals. We did like our stay.
