The overall location of the hotel was pretty good, a person who is capable of walking, everything was in walking distance. The bed was decent enough. The food and the cleanliness of the room could have been better. People with allergies needs to be on alert, because if you're a paying customer, they didn't offer me or made any suggestions to me that they have ways of taking care of you should you have any allergic reactions that they wash their linen in.
And if I had a way to upload this 8 minute video of the cleanliness of the room, I would.

Pros- Beautiful, historical, lots of stuff to do, lots of attractions. There is a fun "downtown" area full of bars and restaurants. There is a new casino too. Everything is within walking distance and if it's not, there were lots of Uber and lyfts.
Cons- Lots of homeless people living on the streets and sleeping in tents.

Super cute and welcoming city.
Super cute and welcoming city. I had the good fortune to meet a new friend who essentially played historian and tour guide during my stay. The food was good, the people were friendly, and I would’ve liked a few more days.

I love Louisville…. Have great friends there.
I love Louisville…. Have great friends there. Spent NYE watching Marr Rife at the Louisville Palace which was a blast. Did not like our stay though. It wasn’t the worst by far but from its rating I expected more/better.
Love the grandness of this old hotel. It was for decades the center of Louisville society, fine dining, the arts.
Sadly now more of a nod to greater days. The public areas are beautifully restored. The deluxe rooms were spacious, the bed and linens most comfortable, as was the large bathroom.
Dinner menu sparce though the preparations were good
For nostalgia sake, I loved being here.
I hope they will find a better management company as well as lots of $$$ to bring The Brown back to its past glory.
Breakfast was amazing. We had several options and even had to make our breakfast options. The dining area was clean, and the food was replenished with fresh food. I have never enjoyed breakfast at a hotel before in my life, but at Hyatt House, Louisville East was exceptional.
The food was great at the bar area too. I ordered a burger sandwich and had a couple of fine Kentucky bourbons. It was a lovely experience. Everyone was amicable, and the bartender "Monty" was excellent at what he did.
The hotel is located in a great area. We took Uber and lifts wherever we wanted to go for under $10 a ride. It's walking distance to pretty much anywhere in the city. The front desk staff are very friendly. The housekeeping staff didn't speak ANY English. I had to type my question on her phone she handed me, to be translated. Kids in the elevator had been at the pool. They seemed to have enjoyed it.
I stayed here only because the Grady Hotel in downtown Louisville screwed me in my opinion. I won't ever stay there.
This hotel was adequate. The room was small, but ok, the Kitchen amenities were nice though. The shower was nice but the design was flawed and a lot of water ran onto the bathroom floor requiring attention so I didn't slip and fall and hurt myself.
The front desk worker, T’ann, helped me out and made me feel I was going home every day after my whole day tour in Louisville. I also witnessed she helped a customer who can’t speak English. She tried different ways to help him and provided the best service. I have traveled to almost 50 states and stayed in lots of hotels. I can tell you: she is the best!!!! 👍👍👍
I love the size of these standard rooms for the cost. I have stayed here multiple times, and it's comfortable. It's like a small one-bedroom apartment. They are also one of the only pet-friendly hotels in Louisville. Most hotels either do not allow pets or have a weight limit. This place is terrific for me and my cattle dogs. Only place we stay.
Hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating! I had to check in early for an event, and they were very helpful. Room was comfy and clean, will stay here for all future Louisville trips! This was my second time staying at this location. You can't find a better place for the price point.
Everything was fine the hotel is very close to a lot of restaurants and things to do which makes it nice. The hotel was clean and the hotel staff was nice. The restaurant the swizzler which was in the hotel the food was excellent!!! We loved it!
Considering the continuing restriction around COVID 19 the breakfast was very good. The kitchen and dining areas were clean and well managed by the attendant. The hotel was in a great location for us visiting the Louisville Kentucky Temple.
Beautiful décor, plenty of space in the room. We enjoyed all the restaurants, bars and shops the hotel had to offer and the staff were so friendly! We will definitely be back here to visit on our next trip to Louisville!
Breakfast is good. I love the orange juice and apple juice that they serve. The yogurt and biscuit are really good. I like that the gym is 24 hours. I like the free internet and like the overall stay at the hotel.
What I liked most is that I had to be in Louisville for 4 nights and the availability was only 3 nights so I had to book another hotel for the Thursday evening and this hotel actually was perfect
This place was so great it will be the only place we'll stay in when in Louisville. The rooms are great, and the breakfast was one of the best ones ever. You won't be sorry with this place.
We were in a refurbished suite, very clean and very nice room. Very quiet, given the location and how busy the hotel was. Great place to stay when in Louisville
It's a beautiful hotel located in the heart of Louisville. Perfect location! The hotel itself is beautiful, however the rooms probably could be updated.
