We visited in February when unknown to us was the film festival, the weather was perfect, town seemed quiet even with film festival which was a bonus, still able to grab tickets. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, lots with outdoor eating with patio heaters. We enjoyed the SB Whale watching trip we did, small exclusive boat made us feel VIPs and saw plenty of humpback whales. Easy to walk around the town, but also easy to drive and explore neighbouring Montecito

Great place to visit, especially with wonderful weather.
Great place to visit, especially with wonderful weather.
For seafood, Lure is amazing!!! Chad's and Cajun Kitchen are great breakfast spots.
If you are there on Sunday, see the Art/Craft Market at the Beach. Lots of amazing stuff and all the vendors are so friendly.
Also, a huge recommendation to Olive Hill Farms in Los Olivos. Great place for oils and vinegars.

Loved the beautiful landscaping and architecture everywhere.
Loved the beautiful landscaping and architecture everywhere. Clean city and easy to navigate while driving but MapQuest misguided me numerous times. Excellent ethnic food restaurants. Lots of choices. I’m recommending “Meet Up” Chinese, “Your Place” Thai and “Masala Spice” Indian foods. Meet Up was first place I’ve ever been served by a robot!!!! Very cool!

Santa Barbara has a lot to offer from beaches to hiking mountain biking to sailing and other outdoor adventures. I would have liked to have more time to explore. Relax at the rose gardens at the mission, hike more, beach sunsets and dinner downtown. Getting around is easy. Biking is fun! I would avoid the traffic in the funk zone on Friday night. Park in a paid lot and walk in is what I recommend. Also check out the Farmer’s market downtown on Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings. Wishing everyone a great time!

Scenery is fabulous.
Scenery is fabulous. We were there over Christmas and the biggest challenge was finding places to eat that would be open and not fully booked. Several museums were either closed and closed early. Zoo was lots of fun, open on Christmas Day, and a manageable 2-3 hour visit to see everything. Interesting shopping was limited -- go to nearby Montecito to shop if you're looking for higher-end gifts and clothing. For a twisty but spectacular drive over the mountains, plan a 1/2 day trip to Solvang or Los Olivos.
This is a very cool Very old house with a lot of character. It is in the montecito hills- surrounded by billionaires mansions. The price you are paying is ridiculously low, significantly cheaper than the next option in Santa Bárbara (motel 6). Staff was nice. Garden was cool, though a work in progress still. Overall it’s not a luxury experience but I would definitely come back bc it’s cheap and interesting and comfortable enough.
The location of the Holiday Inn Express was perfect for a family visiting that wanted to be close to the shops and restaurants. We walked to everything including the Santa Barbara Mission. We enjoyed outdoor dining right on State Street. The rooms and beds were your average hotel room, but felt very clean and nice. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Have stayed in many of the beach-front hotels in SB, and this is the best by some margin. Most are tired old motels that have been jazzed up to one extent or another and charge a fortune for what you actually get. Harbor View is a bit more expensive but much better - a proper 4 star level of furnishing, comfort, etc. I would certainly choose it again.
I love staying on Bath Street in Santa Barbara!! Close to the beach and super quiet. This was a quintasential Santa Barbara Hotel. Super clean, all white it felt brand new inside. The bed was very comfy. We walked to a wonderful dinner on the wharf. The staff was super friend and gave us a tip for breakfast on the beach that was fabulous.
We liked it! Arrived late afternoon and were welcomed by a very friendly gentleman who gave us some tips what we can explore in santa barbara. The hotel has a lovely courtyard which looked beautiful. Very clean rooms, wifi worked well. Parking spaces available. 15mins walking to state street, 5mins walking to the beach
Rooms were well appointed. Pool and patio area looked very nice but we didn’t use either. We only spent one night and in late and out early. We don’t get much of a chance to employ motels or hotels in Santa Barbara because we have children who have homes there but were unavailable for us to stay.
Great location, close enough to downtown Santa Barbara but not in the busy area so it was nice to have a quiet stay. Area was nice and felt safe. Hotel was clean and staff was nice. Felt it was priced a bit high but it was a holiday weekend. Would definitely stay there again.
Wonderful boutique hotel in the best location near the beach and State Street for shopping and dining. Modest breakfast is included, instant oatmeal and some muffins, and you can eat poolside. Coffee and tea were available 24/7 with afternoon cookies and that was nice.
Clean, central, and highly stylish rooms and a great backyard. Very close to touristic attractions and have a five star restaurant in it. Staff was helpful and very friendly. I would probably stay in the same hotel if i ever visit the Santa Barbara again.
The location was perfect for getting to downtown Santa Barbara and the pier. It was so close to everything. But also not in too crowded of an area. It was nice to be able to drop in and rest in the middle of the day before heading back out.
very clean, excellent amenities, incredibly friendly and helpful staff. loved the fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and luxurious sheets. great location near the beach and downtown Santa Barbara.
Location, location, location!! Best spot in Santa Barbara. Lobby area is beautiful. Staff are excellent- Santa Barbara Friendly, even though the hotel seemed to be understaffed during our stay.
We were tired after the big cities so this particular hotel gave us the best sleep we have had in weeks! Area is quiet and hotel is easy to find with enough parking places for your car.
Super close to the beach and a couple of cute restaurants and cafes. The staff was really nice and helpful. The hotel itself is based in a typical Santa Barbara style property.
