Victoria was easily accessed, there were many markets and most people spoke English. There are frequent rain showers that lasted a few minutes which is a relief as it is hot and humid most of the time. The restaurants were great but for South Africans it worked out expensive to eat and drink. There were far too many cars on the road and simply no parking available in Victoria. lovely sights and scenery . The roads that lead over the mountain give way to absolutely breath taking views. The local busses and their drivers were a menace on the road but they provided value for money public transport.

Not the type of capitol city many of us are used too.
Not the type of capitol city many of us are used too. You'll see it all within 2 hours. The tourist offer is pretty slim at best, while any tourist related item prices are very steep. In Seychelles, it's the beaches you'll enjoy, not the city atmosphere.

Victoria is ok, but we spent most of our time renting an apartment (Villa Bella) on the North East point, which was perfect for us. The North East point is far away from any touristy areas, so you'll need a car, which I'd recommend anyways to go to the different beaches, trails, supermarket etc. So stay elsewhere than Victoria is my advice!

As the capital of Seychelles, Victoria is a must see.
As the capital of Seychelles, Victoria is a must see. It is the cultural centre of the country. But the restaurants are very average to poor.
Be prepared to pay tourist rates for everything and forget about coffee, there is none that is drinkable.
For those in a hurry, two days is enough to see Victoria.

We spent only a day in Victoria because we preferred to stay more time at Praslin and at La Digue but we have seen 3 wonderful beaches.
I think we could have spent another day in Victoria because it is big and very nice isle.
Michel holiday apartment is well located within 5 min drive from Seychelles airport.
Nearby supermarkets and groceries are accessible even at night.
It is another 15 min drive to Victoria and Eden island.
Host Ann was super friendly and helpful; the garden is maintained nicely, the apartment is clean and well maintained, have a secured private room parking.
Overall, our stay at the apartment was memorable, and I’d highly recommend especially for a family.
Excellent boutique hotel with great atmosphere. Andrew and his team are very attentive, friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast is excellent and the room is spacious, spotless and well equipped with views of the city and sea that you can enjoy on the small balcony.
Great location just a couple of minutes from Victoria city centre.
I only spent 2 nights there but highly enjoyed my stay.
Beautiful grounds with lovely outside sunloungers & chairs (some under cover for when it rains - which does in Dec & Jan !) and great views of local hills as well as bay - so even if too wet for nearby beach, could enjoy being outside without feeling were missing out on appreciating the whole experience. Staff were v friendly & helpful and choice of close small & medium size supermarkets.
The hotel has exceeded our expectations! Extremely friendly manager, parking, clean rooms, strong WiFi, good view, coffee machine, complementary water, juice, snacks...
Another point I would like to pay special attention to is the quality of the bed! Wide, clean, white, nice smelling, comfortable... Amazing! Especially after 9 hours flight
Generally the hotel left very good impression
Cool location up in the hills with a spectacular view over Victoria. Great drive up the hillside through the lush forest. The property was filled with plants and flowers and there were plenty of wildlife around.
Breakfast was great and so were the other dishes we tried for dinner and lunch.
We had a nice and relaxing time and it was a great first stay in the Seychelles! :)
Very nice apartment, close to the beautiful beach Beau Vallon ( only 7 minutes walking). Very friendly host Rachel. Fully equipped kitchen. Also , lot of supermarkets around(closest is only 1 minute walking), bus stop. Not far from the airport. We really enjoyed our stay. Our son was enjoying 🐢 who is living downstairs) Greetings to Rachel, thanks for everything!
Nice Villa with a pool, good location by the beach, 10 minutes drive to Victoria.

.Bernard the chef prepared great dinner meals for us with a vriaty of exceptional courses to choose from
We had a great vacation and enjoyed very much the hospitality at Villa Le Bonheur.
Harmony self catering is the best place to be in Seychelles, the cleanliness is top notch, the location is perfect, the comfort is superb and to crown it all, the services is like no other. I will recommend Harmony self catering Apartment over and over again. as a matter of fact, I’m visiting again soon. I gained more Family at Harmony.
The location was just outside of Victoria and within walking distance to all of the city attractions. The WiFi was really fast, which allowed me to upload / back-up all of my photos to the cloud each night. The room and bathroom were both very spacious. There was plenty of hot water for the shower.
The views of this hotel are unbelievable. We also loved our morning walks to see the neighborhood which was the best neighborhood that we stayed at in all Mahe. Lots of bats flying around which my kids loved. If I make it to Seychells again for sure I will stay here.
The hotel management, Ms Carla and Ms Ella were really cooperative during our stay at the hotel. The mountainous views were just fantastic from the hotel balcony.
The hotel is as good as seen in the photos - very clean and in the middle of Victoria.
Very caring hosts, always there to help! Nice staff, amazing food (especially the breakfast and the fish with Creole sauce), spacious rooms and pretty quite. Right next to a beautiful beach and a supermarket. Would love to come back at one point!
Excellent place in the nature very close to Victoria and all the beaches around. Very easy to reach with PAPAYA signboard on the road easy to detect. Love this place and its comfort. Very kind hosts could not have better 20/20
Great location near the bus stop, shops, and Beau Vallon beach. The host, Anne-Marie, was really kind, friendly, and helpful. She helped us with everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay.
Beautiful aparment with a sunrise view, walking distance to a few beaches (you have to be ready to walk down and up the hill though). Owned by locals! Washing machine was a big bonus.
We loved the pool, the beauty and modernness of the suites. Absolutely wonderful, helpful and kind staff! Would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Mahè!
The hotel is newly open. one of the best hotel I stayed in. luxury, warm, and the staff were very kind and cooperative and treat you as you are at home especially Nhi
