I believe India's fourth largest populous city, so it's huge. Liked the Tuk Tuk rides in crazy city traffic. The museums were good plus amazing Hindu temples. The general vibe of a large Indian city. Felt always safe.

Must visit. People are warm. Culture is open ended.
Must visit. People are warm. Culture is open ended. Malls especially amba is my all time favourite. Had food from mainly vegetarian restaurants. I would avoid taking taxi next time as public transport is still perfect in chennai. Getting around in taxi and auto is faster in this city. You can take a walk even in the night as people are respectful towards fellow human beings.

Beautiful place and nice people, though it was said, they only talk in Tamil, I found it incorrect coming from North India, they helped, in trains, taxi, Ola etc. Nice food. Good beaches, very good traveling measures, nice places around Chennai too.
Only it was hot for me...

Chennai is a surprisingly modern city in that its facilities and modes of transport are smooth and seamless. The metro is very convenient. The residents of Chennai, especially at their professions, have a pleasant professionalism and competence. While Chennai is warm, it isn't uncomfortably so.

Chennai is a huge, noisy, dirty city with horrendous traffic and very few tourist attractions. We only stayed there for a night at each end of our trip as we flew into and out of Chennai airport. I wouldn't bother spending any more time there than is necessary for transit to be honest.

Shopping in Chennai is good, but due the on going metro phase 2 works the city is conjusted with hravy traffic. As the city itself is connected with the sea the climate particularly now is very hot and humid
1. Best hotel rooms I have come across, even better than Hyatt, Mariott, and ITC group hotels
2. Friendly hotel staff, accomodate your requests the best they can
3. The architecture of the hotel is one of its kind, even from the inside. travelling up and down the lift is an experience in itself
4. The food is out of this world. Really good.
5. Perfect location: walkable from airport metro station which also takes you to MGR Chennai railway station, and near malls and zoo and other tourist locations
The moment I entered the hotel, it was nothing but a time shift back to the 1900s, it had 2 massive courtyards and the rooms were simply fabulous, I had taken a deluxe room with a private bathroom, and the bathroom was a huge one with a neatly maintained closet and floor. I spent a day inside Broadlands exploring multiple places inside (There is a lot more to explore). If you are visiting Chennai and want to stay at a great location with utmost peacefulness, then Broadlands is the place for you.
The location is very good for visa applicants at the US embassy. The terrace view and seating was very nice. Staff was very helpful during my 3 night stay. Food was also good. I was unwell and resting after getting the visa approved, and the hot soups were very nourishing! The hotel cab driver from the hotel to the airport upon check-out was exceptionally good, and kind enough to drive me to the Ayappa temple after I expressed interest in visiting a local temple before leaving Chennai.
I booked three rooms for one night in April 2022. Hotel is about 16 km from Chennai Airport. Location is fantastic. Its about 50 meter from the beach. You can see the sea from every room of the hotel. Rooms are also specious and good. Breakfast is presently not available, so we ordered breakfast from zomato. Hotel people arranged utensils in the rooftop near the pool where we took our breakfast. We ordered tea from the hotel. Rooftop pool is clean and very good.
Their is nothing to like full fraud and stupid people wasted my time. Still i confirmed them by phone call directly to the flagship residency because iam travelled to Chennai from Dubai. And they instructed me directly to pay money at the spot. After i reached their by believing them they told the rooms are full you can stay some other hotel. And their is no transpotation facility also near this flagship residency. Totaly spoiled my one day.
I had a wonderful experience at the GT Grade...Rooms are neat and clean...very comfortable.... it was awesome...Staff's was amazing and polite... they went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable...The service was exceptional as well...the Front office staff were well trained...this was the top hotel in Chennai...one more thing...In Restaurant facility also available...it alsooo tasty and spicy on budget price... Everything awesome...
I went to attend a conference in Chennai and stayed 4 nights. The hotel is a little bit far from the airport but that was not an issue at all. It was comfortable, the buffet breakfast and dinner were delicious. The room was very well lit and spacious and quiet, clean. The location is good with cabs. autos available just outside the hotel.
I had a confirmed reservation but was denied room. I had even made a partial payment towards my booking. I had to undergo a traumatic night since no rooms were available for that night stay. Eventually I had to stay paying 18000 Rs. in an expensive hotel in ECR. Very poor service from the hotel, OYO as well as Booking.Com.
Best Hotel in Chennai... Rooms are clean. Nice and friendly staff... Buffet Dinner was worth paying 😋 👌 all of our family members enjoy staying here... I use to travel Around India & most hotels show different pictures. But this is Real they have and they post... keep it up Guys 👦
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the recent experience I had at the Sheraton Chennai Hotel, Room no. 118. My stay, which took place from 23 Aug 2023 to 25 Aug 2023], was far from satisfactory, and I believe it is important to bring these issues to your attention
The room was huge and felt really new. It was very quiet and comfortable. Very good wifi. It was a short walk to the metro, a couple of eateries and a mall. Seemed like a very fair price for how nice the room was and compared to other Chennai hotels.
The location is near Marina Mall which is a good spot for recreational activities and shopping .The management was so attentive to our necessities . The breakfast was great .Neat and clean rooms and easy access through booking.com
Best hotel in Chennai without a doubt.
Super clean and peaceful can even hear birds in the morning.
Staff are the best, so helpful with anything you might need.
Seriously don't bother staying anywhere else
This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Chennai. The downtown area on Main Street is a best kept secret and the slate hotel
offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing out.
Decided to try this hotel. But really pleasant stay for us.location is very near to ecr beach.staff was very polite and friendly.. Morning breakfast was good ..worth for the money we paid
the great advantage of this hotel is the close proximity to Chennai International Airport. courteous staff, wide variety of food, cleanliness and what not.
Only the location made sense as it was central chennai which was the first reason for selecting this hotel. But other than this terribly disaapointing.
