  • 07-10 Mar 2010
  • King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center, sweimeh, Jordan

Description

The Second AACR Dead Sea International Conference on Advances in Cancer Research: From the Laboratory to the Clinic will return to Jordan on March 7-10, 2010, under the Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein. This innovative conference will provide an overview of the most cutting-edge cancer research in a variety of fields, including the tumor microenvironment, microRNAs, signal transduction, and novel therapeutic development. In-depth Workshop Sessions will discuss the nuances and applications of various new technologies, while Educational Sessions will delve into grant writing and funding sources, clinical trial design, and scientific writing and the publication process.
In order to make any advances in translational cancer medicine, there must be open lines of communication between researchers and clinicians. Therefore, this conference will appeal to a broad spectrum of cancer researchers and we encourage early-career scientists, especially, to attend. Oral presentations from proffered abstracts will be featured in several sessions and poster sessions will be held to allow investigators to present and discuss their latest research in an informal setting. In addition, social events and career development sessions are being planned to encourage interaction among attendees themselves and with the conference speakers.
Through this important international conference, we hope that there will be an interdisciplinary exchange of information as well as the blossoming of new collaborations which are both essential for progress against cancer to be made. We hope you will join us at the Dead Sea in Jordan for this exciting program.
