The forum will bring together top-flight distressed debt investors and experts to discuss the challenges created by the current turmoil in the economy. Keynote speaker Bruce Richards, CEO of Marathon Asset Management, and panelists will emphasize the qualities required for successful distressed debt investing, including how distressed investors differentiate themselves and how they differ from other types of investors. They will also discuss current developments in the corporate and real estate sectors, debate the outlook for distressed assets, and highlight opportunities and pitfalls in distressed debt markets.

Carney Hawks (McIntire `96), of Brigade Capital Management, will moderate a corporate panel featuring Michael Alexander (McIntire `99), of Marathon Asset Management; David Hilty (McIntire `90), of Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin; Phillip Schaeffer (McIntire `77), of Katonah Scott`s Cove Management LLC; and John Shippee (McIntire `85), of Intermarket Corporation.

A real estate panel moderated by The Blackstone Group s Robert Harper (McIntire `00) will feature David Chattleton (McIntire `00), of Morgan Stanley; Allen de Olazarra (A&S `81), of America`s Capital Partners; Jeff Johnson, of Reunion Office; and Robert White (McIntire `87), of Real Capital Analytics.
