TEDx MidAtlantic 2010

  • 05-06 Nov 2010
  • Sidney Harman Hall, Washington, DC, United States

Description

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDxMidAtlantic 2010, live speakers will spark deep discussion and connection. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.

TED conferences bring together the world s leading thinkers and doers for a series of talks, presentations and performances. TED events have been called The ultimate brain spa, Davos for optimists and A journey into the future, in the company of those creating it.

What can you expect to see? Speakers at TED events some of the world s most fascinating, innovative and influential individuals are challenged to give the talk of their life in 18 minutes or less. Sharing and connection happens from the stage or in the lounge. It s the conversation that will change your life.

You can decide how much to pay to attend TEDxMidAtlantic, but we ask for a $75 minimum. The donation covers the costs associated with holding this event, including use of the venue, food, and technology fees. Nobody is making money from TEDxMidAtlantic and no speakers have been paid. You can only purchase one ticket at a time (ignore that it says Quantity).
