Description

This timely seminar comes with the completion of the Independent Review of the Office of the Children`s Commissioner for England, and will include a keynote address from the review leader, Dr John Dunford. It will bring together policy makers and key stakeholders to discuss the future remit of the post. Sessions will examine the direction of Government policy with regard to children, and the future of youth services in a period of budgetary restraint - including recreational activities, careers advice and the proposed National Citizenship Service. Delegates will also consider the Commissioner`s role in relation to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and to similar roles in other parts of the UK.
