28th Annual AIOH Conference 2010

  • 04-08 Dec 2010
  • Grand Chancellor Hotel Hobart, Australia

Description

The theme of the AIOH 2010 Hobart conference is Green but Clean what is behind our clean green future? Our conference aims to focus on three themes; personal and corporate sustainability; ethics; and communication of risk with the workforce and the public.

Sustainability is about conducting our whole way of life in harmony with the biosphere. It is more than a commitment to less pollution and waste and safer products. Our conference will explore how occupational health and safety professionals can support our community, industries and workplaces to move towards a sustainable way of operating. We will examine what are the ethical standards and principles expected of us as professionals and how we can support each other to ensure sustained ethical practice. Health and safety professionals must be able to consistently and responsibly communicate risk in our workplace and the wider community. The conference will look at how we can better equip our profession for the responsibilities and challenges ahead.
