Governments, NGO s and International Governmental Organisations are working closer than ever to achieve a comprehensive approach to reducing the impact of natural and man-made disasters.

Pooling resources for planning, training and humanitarian aid has proven to be the most effective way in achieving this reduction and increasing the effective management of such disasters.

In its inaugural year, Emergency Management Asia 2011 will address the issues of interoperability at both the risk management and crisis management stages. Drawing on regional and international expertise, delegates can expect to project lessons learned and real scenarios onto their own current and future projects and plans.

Additionally, Emergency Management Asia 2011 will also focus on the development phase of the disaster management cycle, allowing any party that is involved in this phase to implement best practice planning and policy execution.
