Fundamentals of Geotechnical Design (1.2 CEUs) 2013 is a course that covers topics such as:

  • Design procedures for stability and settlement of deep and shallow foundation systems in rock and soil
  • Characterization of subsurface investigation, natural deposits and field measurements
  • Seepage through dams and landfills and the control of seepage through the use of filters and low permeability layers including the use of geosynthetic liners and filters
  • Design of excavations and retaining structures; embankments and slopes
