The ICRS 5th Laboratory Skills Course 2014 is a workshop dedicated to techniques to evaluate regenerative medicine techniques in live animal cartilage repair models, including:
- Cells and scaffolds, with an emphasis on techniques for preparing blood and bone marrow for platelet-rich plasma and mesenchymal stem cells
- Techniques for creating critical-size cartilage defects
- Imaging techniques for analyzing repair cartilage formation at the end of live animal studies
- Clinical techniques for implanting hydrogels into cartilage defects
