Description

We welcome you to the 24th Annual Conference of the International Mammalian Genome Society and to Crete! An exciting meeting is planned that balances world-class science with a glimpse into the history of the Minoan civilization as well as the life today in Crete, one of the most unusual and special islands in the world. Sessions will highlight breakthroughs in many areas of genetics, genomics, molecular mechanisms, systems biology, and translational research. Invited speakers were selected to highlight the new opportunities in mammalian genetics and genomics research. In addition, a special session will focus on Human Diseases and Animal Models Systems Discovery and Translation, with an emphasis on lung, liver and neurodegenerative diseases.

The conference will begin with an optional Bioinformatics Workshop followed by a Student Symposium. It will continue with sessions on immunity and infection, epigenetics, comparative genomics, population genetics and evolution, modeling human disease, development, cancer biology, aging, neuroscience, behavior and sensory systems, metabolism and physiology, mutagenesis, and large-scale resources and genome-wide approaches.

Session Topics:
  • Immunity and Infection
