North American Regional ISSX Meeting

The ISSX (International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics) Meeting is a conference dedicated to innovation in the fields of pharmacology, metabolism, toxicology and molecular biology, including:

  • Prediction and mechanisms of adverse drug reactions
  • Pharmacogenomics and cancer treatment
  • Physiologic and/or toxicological roles of novel extrahepatic drug metabolizing enzymes
  • Recent advances on the structure, function and regulation of drug metabolizing enzymes and transporters
  • Nutrition and cancer prevention
  • Pharmacoepigenetic and microRNA dependent drug metabolism and action
  • Oxidative stress, DNA damage and repair and biological considerations
  • Omics based technologies for drug discovery and for drug/xenobiotic toxicity assessment
  • Environmental toxicology and health, and chemical carcinogenesis
  • Epigenomics – impact for drug safety sciences
  • Toxicogenomics, a predictive tool in toxicology and drug development

The ISSX (International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics) Meeting brings together scientists from academia and industry, working on drug/xenobiotic research in various fields including toxicology, genetics, biochemistry, physiology, basic and clinical pharmacology and therapeutics, drug discovery and development, endocrinology, molecular and structural biology, oncology, medicinal chemistry, and other related areas.
