The Ministry of Science and Technology, the Fisher Institute for Air and Space Strategic Studies and the Israeli Space Agency (ISA) are organizing and hosting the annual International Conference on Space Research, honoring the crew of space shuttle Columbia and Israel’s first astronaut, the late Colonel Ilan Ramon.
The International Conference on Space Research covers topics such as:

- Science and space
- Space exploration
- Space entrapanurship and non traditional uses
- Space Technology and Industry
- Space economy, finance and insurance
The
International Conference on Space Research will brings together around 2000 participants, inckuding high officials from IDF & IAF, military attaché`s, representative of the Israeli government, representatives from the Israeli defense industries and outstanding physics & science students from all over the county.
