  • 22-26 Mar 2010
  • Yellow Cedar Lodge, Terrace, Canada

Description

Curriculum has been developed to provide a therapeutic update in emergency medicine specific for the unique clinical situations found in wilderness settings. Tracks include backcountry critical care, high altitude medicine, hypothermia, wilderness orthopedics and mountain-rescue ethics. Physicians will also be working with trained guides in avalanche terrain learning and practicing scene assessment, safe travel in hazardous conditions and search and rescue techniques - taking education beyond the classroom.
