Rome is fabulous and 2 days was not enough time to see everything. We walked to most sites. If I was going again I would take tours of the sites, probably the golf cart tours. Walking is much harder than advertised.

Public transport was useless.
Public transport was useless. Trevi Fountain, waste of time overrun with idiots, cafes and restaurants close were so expensive. Colosium and Palatine Hill worth it and not too crowded. Interesting the cafes and restaurants were not expensive.

What's not to love in Rome?
What's not to love in Rome? The capital city has it all....the food, the sweet warm and welcoming locals, the ancient monuments. We had a wonderful time in Rome being the first time visitors. Not once did we feel unsafe in this bustling city. Italy is one beautiful country, can't wait to come back already!

Just walking around Rome was amazing, book the colosseum to avoid disappointment. The history is amazing, the best way to travel is buy a weekly ATAC ticket which covers the metro and buses, also the overland trains to the coast, it costs 26 Euros.

My biggest regret was not ordering the lunch I wanted which was a truffle pasta dish thinking I'd get it for dinner. I got pizza instead and was too full to enjoy it for dinner. Don't make this mistake! We had a great time!

This is my first stay at any hotel in Italy and I can honestly say that the receptionist set a high standard, the check in process was easy and accommodating, recommending me her own personal favorite restaurants that aren't tourist traps and wow that made the trip really great, eating authentic Italian food is the best way to start discovering Rome.
The rooftop for breakfast was fantastic, having some options to eat before walking around in Rome was helpful.
This hotel was a surprise and probably the best of our stay in Italy. The entrance is through large double doors into an old building and then directed to 4th floor in an ancient (but efficient) lift. On entering the foyer it is modern, clean and such a surprise. The beds were extremely comfy and the bathroom was lovely. When we checked out very early we were given a breakfast box, a nice touch.
This hotel exceeded all my expectations. The breakfast is phenomenal, and the attention to detail is remarkable. I stayed for five days upon arriving in Italy and then chose to return before departing for Argentina, as I wished to enjoy my final days in Rome in comfort. This hotel is truly exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
With my long association with Booking.com, this is the first time I felt let down. I was forced to like the stay, as I had booked for eight nights at this hotel, to use Rome as the base of my travel around Italy. The only thing I liked was the proximity of the hotel to Roma Termini train station.
The Staff were very welcoming and kind, VERY KIND.
Only Hotel in the whole of Italy, after we toured Rome, Florence, Venice & Milan, that had plenty of ice cubes 24/7.
