Medical CBT Tools: Ten-Minute Cognitive Behavior Therapy Techniques for Real Doctors (New Year`s cruise, 2017-18) is a workshop dedicated to the adaptation of traditional cognitive behavior therapy techniques for primary care.
Workshop hours are only during sea days, to ensure there`s zero interference with port activities.
The CME is the extended "triple strength" CBT Tools module (16.7 hours / 50.0 Mainpro+ credits*). Join us sailing the Southern Caribbean and you`ll learn a multitude of ultra-brief CBT techniques to make your work much easier with both medical and psychiatric patients.
CME summary. The CME will be held only during the three days at sea: Monday, January 1; Sunday, January 7; and Monday, January 8. With the interesting exception of January 1 (see below), the workshop hours are from 8:30AM to 12:00PM and 1:00PM to 4:30PM.
Resolutions Lab. The CME on the auspicious date of Monday, January 1 will review the art & science of New Year`s resolutions and other self-initiated behavior change projects. A major component of the afternoon will be guided self-improvement exercises. The Resolutions Lab begins mercifully late (1:00PM) and wraps up at 5:00PM sharp.
Head instructor Greg Dubord, MD is nicely broken-in after giving over 400 CBT workshops, and a University of Toronto CME Teacher of the Year.
