WORLD CONGRESS FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF SURGERY IN ISRAEL 2010

Description

Not everyone is fortunate enough to have their dreams come true. I count myself as one of the lucky ones. Last year my dream of holding a truly world class international surgical meeting in the Holy Land, Israel, came true. The first World Congress for the Advancement of Surgery, in Israel was a tremendous success. We had 270 participants from 16 countries and an internationally recognized faculty. The sessions were state of the art, provocative, and very educational. Needless to say, the social events in the grand old city of Jerusalem were beyond description.

The success of the meeting last year inspired us to do it again. This time we will hold the conference in the electric city of Tel Aviv. This year s meeting promises to be even more spectacular with a greater diversity of topics and a faculty chosen from the world s most renowned surgeons. We hope to have sessions that will interest all surgeons including Bariatric Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Colorectal Surgery, Acute Care Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Surgical Decision Making, Controversies in Surgery, and a session on New Technologies.

The meeting will be an excellent opportunity to upgrade your surgical knowledge, meet the professors whose articles and books you read, and collaborate with colleagues from around the world. Matching the business end of the meeting will be an equally world class social agenda. Tel Aviv is a modern, active city of beaches, restaurants, museums, and nightclubs. Additionally, it is centrally located in this small country making travel very easy.

I strongly urge each and every one of you to join me and my co-Directors,
Professors Reuven Rabinovici, Raul Rosenthal, and Moshe Rubin for this unique educational opportunity, in this enchanting and marvelous land. But rest up first, Tel Aviv stays awake all night.

Scott A. Shikora, MD
